I've been fortunate enough to know South Cox of stalker stickbows now for about 5 years now. The last couple of years I have been bugging him to make a 64 inch recurve for us guys with a longer draw. This past week that dream came to fruition. I received my 52-pound at 30 inch 64 in static limbs. To say they were smooth would be an understatement. At 2 and a half pounds per inch after 27 inches of draw it almost feels like let off.

As you can see the quality of a stalker is clearly evident.

Between tendonitis and arthritis I had to drop in weight. This bow fits the bill! No shock at all as to be expected.
South redesigned the wedge as seen in this pic the 64 in is the top while the other is my 62 in

He also reworked the tapers as well. Heres my 62 in vs the new 64 in (top)

Funny the 64 looks shorter in the pic!
With tiger Myrtle veneers and a bamboo core is very light and quick. This is definitely one of the quietest recurves I have ever shot.
Here is the different side profiles. My son is drawing my 62in and me with the 64. My son is as tall as me now for reference

Very nice Ryan. Congrats!
My arrow is 32 in to back of point. This bow is so smooth im actually drawing 30 1/2"! If you are in the market for a longer recurve with static limbs or have a long draw length this is definitely a must try bow. South has told me he will be offering these limbs starting the 1st of 2017.
I will continue to do other reviews on this bow during the next couple months before the bow hunt starts here in Utah. I will also take this bow to a shop and record speeds for those that are interested.
I just got one from the same batch. Its a coyote 62" 55 lbs. At 29" I'm pretty happy with it
Tim
South will be getting money from me in the future. His bows are works of art. Congrats on the new bow
Guess I might as well just get on the list now. Thanks for fueling my addictions.
Great lookin stick. Hope you get some blood on it come season.
Ed you wont be disappointed one big guy to another ;)
Thanks everyone!
Tim my 62 inch is the exact specs as yours and when I was at 29 it was perfect. Now with a longer draw and ailments this is the ticket. My son can shoot the heavier set :)
When South made the limbs for my bow he missed the weight (by about 5 lbs.shy)on the first set. Maybe I should have taken that as a sign
Tim
Ryan, did u put one of your strings on it yet?
Nice!
Bisch
Ryan,I am glad for your new bow,it is a beauty and South a joy to work with,he takes a lot of efforts to make works of art. Congrats to both.
I did Keith. One of the last ones ive made a couple years ago. The more I shoot this bow the more I love it! Longer bows is where its at for us long draw guys!!

Shes a beauty. Is it checkered?
Yes it is. Thos is my older jackal riser. South just sent me the 64 in prototypes. Man they shoot good! Im thinking a black phenolic riser with a myrtle flare would be awesome for this bow :)
Macasser and Myrtle...
I ordered some last night for an existing Coyote riser that is Cocobola with a Osage flair. Going to do Osage with Cocobola Splices and limb bases and tips. Can't wait,
I have a 60" Coyote with Static limbs that absolutely shoots at my long draw. Very quiet and very stable! Souths static limbs have really impressed me.
Big Ed
Those will be some beauties Ed! I took some sitting shots out of mt tree stand yesterday with no issues. I look forward to seeing them!!
I was able to shoot this bow through a chronograph today. Im not a speed guy so it really doesn't matter to me as much but I know it does to some. So a 550 grain arrow shoots right at 175 fps. The bow is 52#@30 1/2"
Works for me
That is a BEAUTIFUL bow
Thank you Derrick!!
Beautiful bow. I'm hoping to order a bow from South next year.
You cant go wrong Justin! Post pics when you get it
