I have an A handle and I really like it .
I like Bear TDs. Lots more limb choices available as well so you can experiment to find out what you like best.
Hey there..
Not to change your mind about recurves, but I just got in a new Pronghorn 3pc longbow. It is slim, smooth, and quiet. 2.5 months or less, and its at your house.
Give Herb a call just to talk, you won't find a better person. Tell him what your looking for in a bow.I believe he will send a bow to try out before you buy.
Good luck
Either bow would work for what your doing IMO. But IMO it is the grip that would make my choice. The Palmer may be faster with the carbon limbs but for me if the grip an'it right I just fight the bow and never would be happy.
If you get a chance you might try a Tall Tines. I really like mine. Silvertips are nice too but harder to find. These both have nice grips on them. There are lots of really good bows to choose from. I go to shoots and try out as many as possible and shop the classifieds and get used bows that I can get for half of the new price. Just my opinion though. John
Your Bear TD is the best choice for me. I've owned both and found the Palmer good, but not good enough for me to keep.
Try both and make an informed decision.
Thanks guys i appreciate the help still undecided but leaning to the bear td but gonna check out the pronghorn and the talltine
The narrowest grip I've ever had on a stick bow is on my new Win & Win Black Wolf recurve. The throat is just a tad under 7/8" even though it has a very nice wood grip over the carbon riser.
I posted a review of the bow down in the Product Reviews forum.
A friend of mine had one on backorder from Lancaster Archery, with no projected ship date. After some searching, ordered from a dealer in Australia and the bow shipped to the US (all costs included) was about $110 less than Lancaster's bow-only price! Arrived in 5 days from the Land Down Under.
