I shot at a local 3d range yesterday. It was 30 shots at varying distances and terrain. There weren't any shots over 25 yards.
I joined up with a group of 4 other trad guys on the back half of the course. I, for the first time and another guy in the group, didn't miss a single target through the entire course. We also both shot our personal best scores.
I know it's not a super high score but I am proud of my progress thus far in my journey. I shot a 206 out of 300. There were 3 others in the group that shot in the 240 range and higher.
Thanks for reading
Outstanding!!! Father's Day, I shot a 170... Both my boys, beat me!!! Lol
Great job!
I remember many years ago one of the guys in our group announced that he finally went through a course without missing. We thought he was an archery God! No way could I ever achieve such a feat.
A whole lot of arrows have flown and my red beard has turned white since that day. Shooting a course without missing is a regular occurance for us now. Funny how that worked out. :)
Something else we learned along the journey is to never ever keep score. We shoot for kill shots or each other's arrow but the score rings will mess with your head and lead to problems.
:clapper:
Well done!
Those kind of days do feel good . :archer:
Congratulations! I shot a personal best this weekend too. Feels great
Congrats and keep up the good shooting. If i were to keep score i would be at the top for breaking wood arrows :biglaugh:
Shooting 3d with other stick bow shooters is more fun then a barrel full of monkeys. :-). Good for you.
What Whittler said congrats!
A robin hood day. cool
Progress can be most inspirational.
Congrats!
Good for you my friend!!!
I did the same this weekend. However I still missed one target. Still shot 133 out of a possible 200 and I was very happy with that for my 2ND ever trad 3d shoot.
Good work! As long as you are making acceptable progress, you are doing very well. Keep it up.
Excellent.
This trad thing is a journey that all of us are on. All of us are in different places in our own personal journey. Never quit trying to get better!!! You will see guys complain and be upset with themselves sometimes because they are just out of the 10 ring, and maybe wonder "Why is he complaining about that shot?". The reason is because they are a bit farther along on their journey, and expect more out of themselves and they made a shot which was bad for them.
Good for you, and congrats on your personal best (so far)!!!

Keep at it. Don't become complacent or satisfied. The journey is rewarding.
