Title: question about thread size for riser inserts for quivers
Post by: Tajue17 on June 18, 2016, 09:10:00 PM
I have a John Jordan Stalker recurve made in 1992, it has inserts in the side of the riser but I can't figure out what thread size,,,,, I have GN screw-in quivers that work with other newer bows but not this one the insert threads in the JJ look wider,,,, was there certain size bowyers used back then.

Sounds like they may be 1/4x20 such as Bear uses and Ive seen them on Predator bows also.

Some inserts are 1/4-20, smaller are 10/24 most times. I had a Silvertip that had 1/4-20 inserts.

I know the kwickee quiver attachment used to come with several sizes if screws to fit different inserts. Don't know if they still do or if it lists what size the screws are but that might help you figure it out.

If all else fails take the bow down to Fastenal and have them check the thread size.
