As you know, I have owned/shot virtually every longbow there is out there, ha! But I wanted to say thanks to Dan Toelke (Sponsor Here) for providing some great customer service, accompanied by some incredible shooting bows.
I have a Lynx TD, and a Troll, and a Whip Longbow. I just cant seem to put them down..love the dead quiet characteristics, accompanied by accurate, hard hitting, with great cast. Dan and Jarrod are on to something..something everyone should try at some point in their bowhunting career.
Scott, you're spot on with your comments!
I'm with you Scott! The way the Toelke's bows look is just a bonus. Love my Pika.
Agreed!!! I love my 64" 2pc Whip !!!
And I echo the great customer service. Great bows and matching customer service......its a win win scenario.
Dan is a great guy.
He makes an outstanding product as well.
Dittos Scott. I love my Lynx!
I have a 2 pc Super "D", pretty darn nice!!!
I havea Super D shipping Friday.
I've owned at least a baker's dozen of Dan's bows. They are all very nice.
I stopped being interested in other bows after I bought my 2 piece whip. Used to surf the clssifieds 10 times a day. I truly do not think I can find anything out there better to suit my needs.
Dan is the MAN
Gotta love all the replies,,,goes to say, a great product produces results and satisfied customers!
Dan and Jarrod are outstanding, as are their bows!! I love my t/d Pika and am looking forward to ordering either a t/d Chinook or a Lynx soon.
I'm have been thinking of ordering a lynx with longbow limbs. Does anyone have any pics? I'm thinking of getting a 62" bow, I only have a 27.5" draw.
2 Chinooks and a Lynx w/revcurve limbs.....can't shout loud enough!
Love my Lynx, my bow buying slowed way down after getting that one, hard to improve on perfection.

Man I miss this bow... One I thought I would never get rid of. Dan and Jarod are outstanding. Over the years I've given many shout outs to their offerings. Good stuff & good people...
I am affectionately known in my traditional archery club (TBOF) as a "bow whore" ! Always combing the classifieds looking for "the one" and buying/selling over and over again in search of the magical bow. NOW...after purchasing a Toelke Whip from Dan, I am "settling down". I admit that I'm "whipped" and want to be "faithful" to my "true love". This bow is absolutely amazing ! I highly recommend Dan's bows. Excellent customer service as well
As good of craftsmanship as you will find and good guys. I'm shooting a Whlp right now that makes every other bow I've had seem hard to shoot, then it's the prettiest dang thing you've ever seen to boot!
Just my opinion, but you will not find a finer bow than a Toelke ....... any Toelke
Scott,
They are the best!
Oh, and up next in the Toelke line up is the 68" Super D!
Thanks for the pics. I just called Dan today and ordered a lynx with longbow limbs. I went with bocote veneers and black micarta/bocote riser. Dan said that will make a sharp looking bow.
Best in the biz!!!
My signature says it all for me!
Love these guys and the bows they build!!
Welcome to the club gents. I have been shooting Toelkes only for about 10 years. Go to bow is the Whip. Have never shot anything better in manners and craftsmanship.
Matt
Sounds like a great bow order, that's gonna be one sharp Lynx!
Congrats!
Let's see more pics
Here's my t/d Pika

I have a 64" take down Whip that is going to Colorado with me in September. I've been shooting it a lot and I am confident in it. I got mine with black glass to go with the black micarta handle. I like the blacked-out look.
I am seriously looking at a blacked out take-down Troll/Kestrel for blind hunting.
I have owned a number of Dan's bows over the last 10 years and have ended up shooting his Super Ds exclusively. The longest I ever waited on a bow from order to delivery was 29 days. While vacationing, I have been at Dan's and have shot a number of stock bows there. The bows have all been remarkably consistent, smooth-drawing, stable, exceptionally quiet and flawlessly crafted of beautiful woods. I am a shameless fan but you won't find a better traditional bow or deal with better people than Dan and Jared Toelke.
I have a 64" Whip 2 piece from Dan and Jared, absolutely top notch.
They do their job when I do mine!
Bought my first Toelke in 2005, that was the first of ten. I am currently waiting on a call from Dan to come pick up my eleventh. This one will be a Super D model that is receiving rave reviews from Mr. wright and others here. Pretty sure there will be a Pika 2-piece in my future also.
I've said this before but it bares repeating; besides getting an excellent crafted bow with great service, you're getting a friend who will do everything he can to help with your archery needs. He's bent over backwards to help me when I've had a problem. Great family to deal with.
It just don't get any better!!!
I've been shooting a 2 pc Pika for a few months now...without a doubt, one of the two best shooting bow's I've owned...the other was a 2 pc Chinook that I sold when I picked up the Pika...!! I will own another Chinook in the near future...!!
Gotta agree love my Chinook, have owned a couple other of his bows Super D and the 64 in. Super Static recurve all shot great and felt great in my hand.
Got a two peace pika last month and it's just the sweetest bow I ever shot ! And I have a lot of bows . Asked Dan if there could be a recurve pika in the future and he said possibly
I've owned a pile of them, no one better. I'm mostly a Chinook man but the Pika calls to be. Got another Pika on the way now actually.
I'm amazed all over again every time I shoot my pika! It's hard to believe a bow longbow so small can be so fast, accurate, and quiet.
Not to derail but question for those who have shot both...
How would you describe the difference in handling and performance between the Super Static and the Chinook?
I've got a classic whip and love it and have been kicking around the idea of picking up a Toelke recurve. Probably should just give Dan a call to discuss but thought I'd post here for opinions as well.
I believe he is making a 60" Chinook now. That might handle the 29-30 draws well but I haven't shot one of that length.
The SS is incredibly smooth in its draw being a long static tipped recurve. Good for long draws. It has a good amount of mass to it as well. If you are 29 or less with your draw, you might want to look at the Chinook. One of the finest recurves ever made if you ask me. I've shot one but never owned one. There is always the Lynx too, with recurve limbs!
Told you years ago....what took you so long to get on the bus...
The bus never made it to the north country then...now it stops almost daily..haha
Nice Scotty! Enjoy buddy.
My T/D whip. Only problem with it is I want more!
