Well I want to thank David Lawson for a new box of woodies. I have always shot carbon and aluminum but have wanted to have some real wood around. four 4" fletched and they shoot fantastic thanks David.

Nice!!!
Who picked the colors? Interesting choice. I like them, I have a few sets of Snag's arrows myself.
Beautiful, enjoy those.
Very nice TJ !
Nice ones........
Gary, The shaft color was a copy of a set I saw snag had made, the fletchings are my lucky red barred color, I picked black nocks and Snag worked his magic on the stripes.
Very nice, i love the colors. I hate shooting beautiful arrows, cant stand to loose or break one. Lol Only thing more beautiful than a nice set of woodies, is a beautiful bow, and you will only find them in traditional archery!
You will enjoy that Doug Fir. Great wood. Nice color combo!
I did somewhat the same thing. The last set David built for me, I just gave him a few colors I would like and told him to use his judgement. I got these:

On the set before that, I had seen a photo of Allen Boice with a nice Blacktail buck. He shot it using his bow and some arrows David had made. I just asked him to make a set of those for me. I got these:

And they fly beautifully. I think these are really something special.
Ya those are siiiiick!
Nice you'll enjoy those!
Those are beauts!
I'm going to have to have a dozen made someday.
Sharp looking arrows Tom !!
WOW!
Classy sticks Tom!!
Awesome brother I gotta say I love my douglas fir durable and straight i can't wait for this fall to try em on a whitetail!
Thanks Fellas! I am surprised at how straight they are and how great they fly. Slower yes but they are more quiet and heavier of course than carbons. They do impact about 10" left at 15 yards of where my carbons do, so I'll have to get used to the new site picture before I take them to the tree. Always enjoy a something new to me in our game and this will be no different.
Mnfn, those are some nice looking arrows also. I do like the lighter fletchings to be able to see them better but I can't fight my good luck red color. Haha, believe me I've tried and it just doesn't work.
That is interesting Tom, that the impact changed that much to the left. Is it the amount of center cut of your bow, I suppose, or would the diameter of the shaft make that much difference?
With my 50-53# bows I can shoot CE150's that have 245 grains up front to about the same impact, but the CE's are a little shorter as well.
I think the main culprit is the larger diameter Gary.
