Very good shoot. Pappy
I've heard of this one for a few years now, nothing but great things. Hoping to make it over that way this year.
I've wanted to get to this shoot for a few years now , going to try and make it this year .
This is my favorite shoot in the state. So peaceful and laid-back. Great, great 3D ranges. Guys on Saturday the dinner that is served is so damn good. Good ticket raffle after dinner. Very grass roots, and a truly traditional feeling at this shoot. If there is one shoot NOT to miss....It's this one. rat'
I agree riverrat, very good time to be had at ElmHall.
Pappy
TTT.
Pappy
Back up for a good time.

Some of the most fun to be had and still be within the limits of the law. Great courses, good food and excellent people.
If you're a good long range shot you might win enough from the money bear to pay for your gas :dunno:

Ron, isn't that where I usually beat you on the 3D range? :bigsmyl: :archer2:

Who's the pot stirrer now!
He hasn't seen it yet....just wait.... :scared:
Roger, when I was a young man like you I was always challenging the best shooters in the traditional archery world. I even beat some compound shooters that thought they were pretty good. That was back in the day when compounders shot with fingers and their bows only had a 50% let off. :archer2:
I never had to shoot against an 80 year old man to make myself look good. Shame on you :nono:
QuoteRon, isn't that where I usually beat you on the 3D range?
Didn't I whip both you and Greg with an old bow made in the 50's that I bought at the shoot that same day?

That was 2 years ago. What's the bet this year? Blantons? We need an impartial score keeper.
Isn't this the part where I refer to you as a curmudgeon? :notworthy:
I was only 78 years old then, just out of my prime.
Whats the bet Lobo? Blantons? WR Double Oaked? Lunch at the BBQ joint in Chelsea? :readit:
yep.

OUCH!!
Not sure if I can make it but if I do I'll have my new bow the "Shrew Stealth II" with the new limb design by Jim Belcher. This bow is DYN-O-MITE...it eats Black Widows for lunch. :biglaugh:
Ha! As much as I am certain that your new Shrew Stealth II is going to be awesome....I can't be beat

QuoteBefore Ron and I start our annual summer debate about who can beat who....He's right. I first started shooting with Ron 15 years ago...he was 65 and I was 38. He pounded me every time. Every summer we start this argument, and he makes me a better shooter.
You've come far Pilgrim.

Not only a GN bow, but several self bows made by expert bowyers will also be raffled off. I know of at least five as of now.
Back up.

1 More week, I will be headed North Monday for a great time. Hope to see a bunch of yall there.
Pappy
Back up. See yall in a few days.
Pappy
Can't wait, talked my dad into putting down the wheelie bow long enough to come to the shoot. Sounds like he might even hunt with it again this year.
The family and I will be heading over on Friday! This will be our first time camping at Elm Hall. I haven't been to the shoot in 3 years as we always have a church camping trip the same weekend...but this year we're looking forward to being there!
BTW, is there a trade blanket at anytime over the weekend? Got lots of bows and gear I'd like to lay out for trade. Thanks!
Headed North in a few hours, see yall there.
Pappy
