I have been using a longbow for a while and am going to go back to a recurve this year. I used to use brush buttons and they worked great. You have to use the ones that are soft or they are noisy. My problem is I'm having trouble finding them. Anybody know who sells the soft ones?
We have some that are pretty soft, have small ones and will have large about midweek

Thanks Terry, I'll check your website in about a week. I like the large ones. Some of the brush I go through can be tough.
I would love to see a tutorial on installing these. I've been tempted many times to grab a pair, but can't figure out how they go on; the package has two buttons and a cotter pin with no instructions. Duh!
I use them. The rounded part goes toward the tip the flatter part in toward the handle. The cotter pin is put around the string loop to help thread them on - then it is removed.
A woman's bobby pin is what I use to install them. Slip the bow string in the bobby pin then grease the string loop some with vasoline then slide the brush button over the bobby pin and slide down string. Remove the bobby pin and wipe the vasoline from the string - restring bow and adjust brush buttons to they just come in contact with the bow limbs.
used to use them back in the day, may start using again. They also help quieten the bow if I remember correctly.

Ahh...makes sense now; thank you!
Why couldn't they just tell you that?
If you have problems with brush getting caught between the limb and the string these things help a lot. They last three or four years before going bad.
I have a set on my Tuktu EX...the bow is quiet without them but they take out that last bit of string vibration to make it dead silent
