Congrats to Corey Bailey (Basinboy) and Daniel Brinkley (B59) for their superb shooting at the Howard Hill Classic!
Our group of 3 TG members (Kirk Bernard, Tommy Ballinger, and myself) got to spend some time with these men and theirs families.
We shared food, stories and lots of laughs
-
That's awesome!! Congrats to both of them.
-
Not to brag but I scored more trees than both of them combined. It was indeed a pleasure to shoot with these men and there's always going to be a connect because I got to spend some real time with my Trad Brothers of the bow! Enjoy your Chiggers and safe return home.

I just talked to Corey, and he said he did not get knocked out of the shootoff by Daniel! He told me he ended up 2nd in the shootoff.
But yeah, both of those cats can shoot!!!

Bisch,
That's right Daniel didn't knock Corey out of it (it was Charles Jackson that won it, congrats) but he sure would have like to

:clapper:

can someone post the winners and scores in each division or where to find the information. I had a friend shoot very well in this shoot but he had to leave due to unforeseen circumstances but he still would like to know how he did against the good shooters.

There were some really good archers at the Howard Hill shoot. I wish I was one of them. It is always a fun shoot. I always tell the Northern and Western people to try to attend. Its worth the ride to Alabama.

Corey and Daniel,
It was all my pleasure for you two "Champion" to let me hang out and embarrass myself in our groups LH vs RH competition.
And like I said it gave me a much needed excuse to cover my bad shooting!
And to clarify one thing for others who read the opening post.
Corey and Daniel were drawn to shoot against one another and one other gentleman in the 1st round of the shoot off and Corey was the winner of their group and continue to move through the rounds to the last group of two.
Great accomplishment!
-
I told Corey before he even started drawing that he and I were going to be in the same group and sure enough it happened. Haha.
Corey was in the zone, I was his biggest cheer leader. Lol.
That was one of the most exciting shoot offs I have seen. Corey was down two going into the last target. Charles got up and shot an 8 giving Corey a chance to hit a 10 to tie or a 12 to win. Unfortunately Corey followed Charles right into the 8 ring. It was awesome watching a friend shoot head to head for the championship.
Congrats again, brother!
It was a blast shooting with all you fellas! Tommy might have practiced RH before challenging you to that! Lol. I think he shot better right handed than left
-
Congrats Corey and Daniel.
-
Daniel,
Tommy is right eye dominant and i've been advocating a switch to RH as he is well able to make the switch pretty easily as ya'll seen. His form is better RH too a lot better alignment from bow hand to draw hand and elbow.
He shoots with a high elbow shooting LH and it flatten out when shooting RH and I think he gain a little on draw length too, "MAY EVEN BE CLOSE TO 29.5" lol.
-
Daaaaang Corey! Youve been on fire dude!
Mark is an absolutely great guy! He is the person that got me started on trad archery.
I hope everything is going well Mark! Long time no speak.

Yes Tommy shot really well right handed. He just needs you to give up that Centaur John :biglaugh:

What   :scared:

I messaged Terry about the scores yesterday. He said the top 10 scores in longbow were 221-262. Corry shot a 231 and I shot a 230. So we were top 10.
262 is insane!!
-
Yep, some very good shooters. BTW, the fellow that shot the 262 won the Championship Shoot Off. Charles Jackson can shoot!
I'll post the winners names as soon as I kinda catch my breath folks. I'm sure you all understand.

Congrats to all the shooters -
