Out stump shooting and looking for mushrooms on Sunday.....I almost stepped on this. This fawn was smaller than my beagle...

nice...can't be more than 2-3 days old
I just love it when I walk up on one of those little deer. Its pur luck for me because Im pretty clumsy.
Cool, way to keep your eyes seeing and not just looking.
Beautiful..........
A really cute fawn.
That is just flat out awesome! You're right....soooooo tiny!
Nice work!
I spotted one standing in a clover field one early June morning as I was driving along a blacktop.
I stopped and jumped out to take a close look, and I couldn't find it. I finally gave up and turned to head back to the truck only to discover it had been hunkered down 6 feet behind me the whole time.
I took its pic, and it let out a bawl for momma, so I decided to let it have some space!
Those newborns are really neat to see! He will be up and running like the wind in no time!
Bisch
That's pretty cool.
Great pic, enjoyed it.
Nice pic, Roger. I've seen two so far near camp in southern Oceana County. They both looked less than a week old. Cute little things.
I've found two myself and saw one being born once from about 75 yards away. All really cool experiences.
Awwww! Very nice to see!
Nice I found one like that years ago as I was leaving I kept looking back at the fawn and almost stepped on it's brother or sister 20 foot away. .
cool!
Awesome...love to find them this time of year! Had two, just able to walk, following me around once years ago. I'm sure momma was close by watching the whole time.
