Okay guys, I have been going back and forth about offering something up, but have decided to do it. The hog hunt that I offered up last year never came to fruition unfortunately, so I was apprehensive. I believe life got in the way of the recipients.
Louisiana has several ruts depending what part of the state you are in, so here is what I came up with:
Friday-Sunday for 2 hunters
They would have the choice of:
Oct/Nov hunt in north central La (Nov rut) on private land with meals and hopefully lodging provided. At the very least, tent camping will be available.
Or, a Dec/Jan hunt on one of the many public lands of La with a late Dec/early Jan rut. These primarily consist of river bottoms and swamps. In this case, camping accommodations and meals would be provided. *This is not a "guided" hunt.*
Stands will be provided for either hunt as well as boat/atv or whatever else is needed for the specific area.
**If one of the hunters is under 15, they can use any weapon legal for that area at that time. This can all be worked out in the planning stages.
Most of these areas have hogs as well.
Feel free to ask questions or comments and tell me what you think.
I know there are legalities for "guiding" on public land and even though I will not be receiving any compensation, I want to make sure we stay within the expectations of the law.
What a great offer JL!!!!!
If there is anything I can do just let me know. We might even be able to sweeten the deal once bidding starts.
Excellent.

nice offer
Amazing !!
Awesome Jeremy. I'm looking forward to helping out in any way I can.
Jeremy ,myself also if you need help. I am an old fart just about retired so have plenty of time to help you with anything you need.Kip
How much is an out of state license in La? Gotta get my coins in a row for this one? Great offer for sure.
Wow...great listing and great offerings to help.....
Only on Tradgang :notworthy:
Thanks everyone! I really hope to make this a quality experience.
Bill, it is $36/day to deer hunt if not mistaken.

Let me know if you guys have any other questions, or if maybe you have something slightly different in mind. I'm sure we could even look into shooting some ducks if so desired.
I see Fred offered to help out here but??????????
Fred is going to be cooking? Is that what I'm hearing?
I'll bump up the bidding if that's the case.
CJ, last time I ate Fred's cooking there was rain, mud and freezing temps. I'll volunteer to tough it out so you aren't uncomfortable after traveling so far. ;)
Good company and food adds a lot of value to things like this so suffer I just might.
And I my drive won't be all that long, I plan to be in South of Dodge City in Kansas December and January for quail season so LA is just a short hop skip and jump. ;) .
Man that bidding was close! Drew had me sweating and almost nosed me out. Too much fun!
Much thanks to Jeremy for this great offer and to Jay, Fred and Kip for throwing their efforts behind what is sure to be an epic adventure.
Gregg Dudley and I partnered up on this and will be talking with Jeremy soon to get the details worked out. Gregg and his son hosted my youngest son and I on a St. Jude hunt in GA several years ago. We both shot our first trad deer there. I have wanted a chance to get together with him since then and this hunt gave us the chance while helping out the kids. I could not be more excited!
Darren : I had a good time bidding with you , good luck to you and Gregg . Drew
Very much looking forward to it Hack. Thanks for y'all support for the kids and glad to see Gregg involved. Been wanting to share a campfire with you guys.
I'm throwing in some sippin whiskey
:shaka:
Good bidding, guys! Looking forward to this!
I wondered what happened to Gregg - glad to see he was just hiding under the covers.
Great bidding everyone. Most of the auctions were pretty tame this year, but watching the end of that one was like days of St. Jude gone by.
Great job, and I KNOW it will be a fine time!
We WILL have a good time for sure Whip, that I CAN PROMISE.
JL is top notch and so are his hunting buddies who will be hard at it scouting for the hottest sign prior to the hunt. If we could hit Tensas NWR at it's peak rut, someone could come out with a deer of a lifetime.
