I've seen several pictures of guys using a great northern quiver with what looks like rubber bands wrapped around the hood what is the purpose of this?
-
I use them on occasion to reduce bulky clothes on my bow arm.
-
Just a handy place to store your rubber bands.
-
I don't use a bow quiver, but I've also seen guys stick a small branch/leaves in the rubber band as an added bit of camo.
-
Redneck range finder, if the critters close enough to hit with a rubber band, it,s close enough to take a shot..
-
Haha great answers guys, I think Muttly's is my favorite answer but Whip's probably makes the most sense.

X2....I dont use an armguard...rubber bands work great for me when wearing alot of bulky clothing.
-
I use a rubber band around the quiver to secure a spare 2blade broadhead in the quiver.
-
Fred Eichler always did it for securing bulky sleeves if needed. It didn't take long to catch on.
If Fred hung a lollipop on his quiver soon everyone would do it.
-
I use them for bulky clothes if needed but also for attaching my tag.
-
I hear that they make a decent short-term string keeper, too. They're a multi-purpose tool. Lol
-
I use them on my upper arm on bulky clothes where my arm guard doesn't reach.

beastmaster has the answer lol.
