Title: Sponsor Bowyers - Looking for a beginner lightweight recurve horsebow type of bow
Post by: Bud B. on May 13, 2016, 09:25:00 AM
Any sponsors make an entry level, more on the older youth/adult size, recurve that resembles a horsebow? The camp where my wife works teaches horseback archery and I assist them with beginners and ground work. I am asked for bow recommendations quite often. I'd like to steer folks to a bowyer made bow rather than a production bow and also not recommend foreign made bows. Bows would need to accommodate a 28" DL. Would like 58" and under bows as well. 54" would be great.

I am not fully aware of who makes what as far as sponsors go, but would like to learn if y'all know of any. Again...looking for TG Sponsor made bows.

Some of these young ladies come from hunting families and may one day become bowhunters themselves. One can hope  ;)  Good equipment can help get them there.

Thanks.

I think St Joes is a sponsor and I hear they make good youth model bows.

Was looking for a style like the vintage Blackhawk Mosquito type of bow but in 54".
