Has been a little while since my fortuitous NZ Red Stag adventure...
The finished memorial was delivered today. She both personally and precisely represents the embodiment of this splendid exploit.
Certainly am hopeful to return to New Zealand, once again, to relive this most fulfilling endeavor.
Congrats, I would think it would make a beautiful mount.
Looking forward to seeing the mount Friend.

Awesome mount! Congrats!
That is awesome!! I doubt many Kentucky boys have a red stag hagging in their trophy room... Especially taken with trad equipment!
Wow! What an amazing animal and a beautiful mount. Absolutely top notch!

Thank you gentleman for the kind comments and for aiding my vividly displayed ineptitude in posting pics.
That is awesome looking Friend! I have one at a taxidermist now. Can you possibly measure the dimensions of your pedestal at the top and at the bottom for me? and also can you tell me how the mount attaches to the pedestal?
Congrats on a fine stag, and beautiful mount!
Bisch

That's incredible Scott
That is outstanding!! Congratulations
Scott, that mount is spectacular. The taxidermist is very skilled, and I believe it was well worth the wait!
Thank you...the Father and son veteran taxidermy team of Acorn Ridge painstakingly developed an exemplary work of art.
Incredible Scott! Such a majestic & magnificent animal displayed with great respect. The animal is beautiful and a small glimpse of our creator's handi-work! Well done...
Awesome!! beautiful mount. They did that incredible animal justice for sure.
Still one of the all time most Impressive kills for me on TG. Congrats brother!
Most impressive.
Wow! They did a fantastic job! Thanks for sharing this and the original story.
Scott,
Absolutely one of the best adventures captured and told on TG. And the mount came back just beautiful.
And you seem to be a man of many blessed talents as relayed in your post and stories.
If you don't mind and at the risk of coming across wrong (just trained to be observant) can you tell us about the pictures on the wall?
South MS Bowhunter...
The pictures on the wall are of my loving wife. She was Miss Kentucky in 1984, participated in career modelling as well as owning and managing modeling, acting and finishing school businesses' in Canada.
A vastly different world from what I grew up in and have continued to thrive in. Often times, it may be a distinct advantage for the hunter to stalk game with poor eyesight. Maintaining a downwind position is mandatory.
The years have been better to her, yet I may only have use for a mirror when applying face paint.
Note: the red stag mount was fortunate to assume its setting in the great room, since my generous man cave was still too tight to accommodate its size for adequate presentation.
I can not imagine a better way to showcase that stag. The pedestal mount is simply awesome.
Oh my! That us a beautiful animal!
It's a really majestic animal and the mount really shows it. Congratulations Scott on a awesome adventure and ando trophy.
As you can see in the picture I'm in how massive it it is compared to my 5'-6" height.

Looks like you have 10 foot ceilings! The pedastal would have to be a little shorter for most houses. Beautiful all around!

Red Stags in NZ may weigh on average approximately 225#s lighter than an Elk. This stag weighed approximately a little over 500#s.
Thanks Scott,
Certainly didn't want to come across wrong, but its not everyday you see a man cave with a State Beauty contest winner.
And that even sounds wrong given the many accomplishments your wife has obtain.
I applaud you and her :clapper: :clapper: :clapper:
