I have seen guys use them......been around a long time. I can not see them as being illegal.

I would not worry about it so much. A sling is not like a sight or modified riser.

Unsure why it would even be considered illegal? Doesn't assist in shooting.  Basically same function as a quiver, they're not illegal.

I know Tim from Farr West leather makes a couple different models of bow slings.  He has stuff on the sponsor classifieds page.

Vintage Archery has been building and selling  bow slings for years .
Like Ron W and others mentioned they have nothing with shooting but are for carrying the bow......really handy ...Guys elk hunting really like them

They are advertised here on the top of the page in our ad.

Very versatile ..........

I own and use one of Joe's bowtote slings.  Works great!  Even with a large backpack it works like a charm leaving the hands free for using trekking poles or binoculars.

The Bowtote is one of the finest products on the market for transportation of the traditional bow in the field. Like I said they are great for traditional bow transportation and they have been used for lots of other things when needed. They are a great product.

Guys I believe he is speaking of a wrist or finger sling. I have used them in competition and nobody has ever said anything.

I have seen prohibitions occasionally on using them in 3D events, but I think those are mostly hardcore competitions. It's unlikely to be an issue at the usual local event.
