Just wondering what everyone's input is on this. I currently have taken the quiver off my bow and would like to keep it that way. I'd like to find a decent side quiver. Cant drop Bo 200.00 on one but may sell my current one and add some cash and buy a new one but not sure which one. That's where you all come in lol. Thanks in advance
I think the GFA quiver is the finest available, it's all I use. Made right here in Michigan
Well I love my evening stand brown wool so why nit give the quiver a shot
I absolutely love my Ridge Line quiver by Farr West Leather, and he is having a sale today!

Put a strap on a used bow quiver for next to nothing and see how you like it. I Made mine from 7 arrow Delta for $15 and love it.
Become a contributor and put a wanted ad in classifieds! You will find what you want for a great price. There are a lot of guys out there like you that change up on what they like and a lot of perfectly good gear hanging around in closets. I've purchased quite a few good items from the classifieds.....including a very nice and barely used (when I bought it) Jack Bower side quiver!! It's a great quiver. This is it as made today.

Good luck in your search.
I got a Big Jim side quiver for Christmas, check it out on his website.
What Bisch said.
In addition Tim has the Absorkee and a couple other side quivers that are pretty good
I second the "put an add in the classified" section. I also got my like new Jack Bower quiver off the classified adds.
Jack Bower for a long time was the only one making what most of us think of as the leather side quiver. Most everything else is pretty close to what Jack made. I have looked at a number of makers leather side quivers and they were all top quality.
You can't go wrong with one of Tims side quivers (Far West
Leather) great guy to deal with as well. He has recently added a Judo/Blunt holder to the quivers which I really like. You always want to take a few shots in the field and most quivers don't handle them well.

I repurposed my old Selway bow quiver to a GFA style side quiver. Makes an excellent hunting quiver. It keeps the arrows quiet, safe, easy to retrieve and easy to conceal just by slipping it around behind you.
Both of these went as Christmas presents last year

this is my set up I took to Colorado in 2010...

Farr West Leather has a great line of unquie quivers for those that prefer a quiver off the bow.
The Absorkee Quivers feature one of the easiest on and off quivers on the market, yet is secure and stays put until it is time to move it. Being on your side, the arrows are ready and easily accessible. Thick brush is also no problem. Recently, I have changed the design a little bit, so that the hood edges stick out past the foam, for larger broadheads.
The Absorkee Quivers are all built by hand, out of quality Herman Oak Leather, and will last into your grandkids lifetime!
They start at $150.00 and go up from there...

This is the Emigrant, it is a 5+1, 5 broadheads, and a dedicated spot for a judo or rubber blunt.

The original Absorkee Quiver, 5 broadheads

Then we have our newest, the Absorkee Over the Shoulder, which comes with or with out a judo/blunt pocket.
In addition to the Absorkee Quivers, we also make and sell the Ultimate Rover, and the Ultimate Hunter.

The Ultimate Rover started out as a pocket quiver that had the ability to carry Judo Points, and quickly turned into the Ultimate Roving quiver. The Ultimate Rover carries 3 Judo Points, and in the pocket has the ability to carry 8-10 field points. This quiver is not designed or made foe broadheads.
The Ultimate Hunter, is the beefed up version of the Ultimate Rover. It too has the place for 3 Judo points, and has 4 individual pockets for two blade broadheads. The broadheads are in their own pocket, no foam, and the edges touc very little or nothing, so they can stay sharp longer, versus foam.
For those interested in a quiver, I am willing to extend the sale through the weekend...Sunday at 6 pm mountain time it'll be over.
Thanks,
There are lots of great options out there. I am a cheapskate and I modified and re-purposed a King back quiver from the early 60's into a over-the-shoulder ambidextrous side quiver similar to the Latigo Side Stalker except mine can carry over a dozen arrows and some gear. Love the room, flexibility, no-noise and reduced motion required to slide an arrow out the lower end of the quiver and onto your rest while hunting .
Selway has made a nice side quiver for years. Check it out. They occasionally appear in the classifieds for $75 to $100. I bought one very similar to the Selway, made by Far West Leathers, off the St. Jude auction a couple of years ago.
Oklahomaleatherman latigo side quiver
I like the Absorkee from Far West......
Thanks for bringing up the latigo side stalking quiver! For me (and many folks I've talked to) this is the best all around light weight side quiver.

I build these with 9-10 oz California latigo, put a wooden bottom with 3" thick foam in the bottom and the shoulder strap is lined to prevent the oils in the latigo from bleeding off on clothing.
More information is on my sponsor page. Thanks for looking!
I got one of KC's side quivers last fall. Here it is after being put to use for its intended purpose; hunting!
