I bought an old grizzly at tradfest.i think it's a 1960. I would like to replace the grip if anybody knows where to get one does anyone know what the correct rest is bear hair or feather ?
Thanks

Personal Preference i use bear hair
-
Thanks dahyer
I picked up a bear hair rest for it. I was curios as to what it came from the factory with.
-
My 2015 grizzly came with bear hair and leather strike plate my local shop sells the pair for 5 bucks.
-
Doesn't get much better than a grizzly. Such an amazing bow. Make sure you get a quality string from one or resident makers.
-
The strike plate is similar to the ones on the kodiak.
The remade 59's have a feather rest. Thought maybe the 59 and 60 grizzly might have the same.
-
Bearbowman made the string for my Browning Safari. I'll probably get one from him once I figure out the brace height.
-
Mine braces perfect around 8. Most grizzly brace poorly below 7.75 from what i understand. Hope this helps.
-
Only the 59 I've seen comes with feather. However i have seen people put feather on grizzly.
-
Allen from ten rings strings made my strings and he is fantastic to work with. Also you may know but no fast flight for grizzly. Use b50
-
According to the 1960 bear catalog, the rest is a feather rest. My '59 Grizzly also has the feather rest.
-
Thanks for the info. How do like the feathers compared to bear hair.
-
I have shot both and i just like the hair better. Don't know why but both work very well

The template shown here will work on your 1960 Grizzly
