By luck of the draw I fell in behind Daniel of Hunters Choice Bowstrings, a new Trad Gang sponsor, in this year's White Elephant event. In addition to sending me some great bowhunting books and videos, Daniel offered to make a string for a bow of my choice with my choice of colors and yarn versus cat whisker silencers and he would make a string that would make me happy if I would trust him. Daniel sent the string over a week ago but I've been buried with projects. Tonight was the first night in a while I got home before dark and I added a nocking point on the basis of side-by-side comparison with the original string and headed out to shoot a few at last light. Go long or go home, so I took my first shot with this new string from 30 yard. Wow! Nothing but a vague "thunk" on release and the arrow hit the bag like a guided missile. Some of you might recognize the bow....

If this is an indication of his work, I'll be sending plenty of business to Daniel at Hunters Choice Bowstrings!

I just picked up a bow last night (for my wife) that has one of Daniel's strings on it. Haven't had a chance to shoot it yet. The guy I got it from recommended him for future strings though.
