Title: Great day scouting turkeys, shed hunting stump shooting

Took a LONG walk in the woods today. The gobblers were strutting despite some snow on the ground and a cold wind.

I got caught in the open by a bunch of hens and a few jakes and longbeards. I tried to get some pictures but I was fought out in the open.
The turkeys had the woods tore up

The deer sign was heavy. The trails are all beaten down.

Turkeys are thin up here this year.  I see them in the fall just not sure where the heck they go in the spring.

That's a great day to be out and about. Your going to have some very nice bucks next year! My buddy has been looking for sheds since Dec. and still has not found one. He finally threw in the towel on Sat. LOL
