Last minute cancellation for a 6 day hunt starting May 22. Be the 1st on stand for the year!
For the past 2 years, every hunter saw a bear every night on stand. Most hunters seeing 20-30 bears a week with one hunter seeing 102.
Needed to post this as I keep hearing stories of guys not seeing bears on hunts. Click on the link and read the website in entirety for details.

Ahhhhhhh!!!!!! These posts kill me.

That was fast...Hunt is tentatively booked!!!
That's a heck of a camp with the best guide!
Can't wait!
You will love it. This has become a favorite hunt for me. I am back for 2018 and plan to be a regular for as long as I can.
D.P.
I don't know how a bear hunt could be any better than this one. I'd been on two other bear hunts before I hunted with Ryan and saw more bears the first night than I did on the other two week long hunts combined.
Wow. An hour and three minutes...
So what tact did you use to close Ryan? Did you tell him that I was going to be there or did you cover that up? :-)
Wait...I a fairly certain I know the answer...never mind.
Looking forward to meeting you Michael. It is going to be awesome.
Ya Dave-These hunts seem hard to sell ;)
Look forward to seeing you again. Hoping to have enough restraint to hold out until at least the second night before I shoot! Can't wait!
Man oh man are we gonna have some fun!!!
You know it Glenn...
In fact, I told my wife that she needs to start snoring so I am prepared to bunk with you.
She just gave me one of those looks...
 I will bring some earplugs for everyone in camp!
Got a box of earplugs in camp already
Very envious. Can't wait to go again sometime.
Michael, you should probably buy another Tall Tine, just for this hunt. I know where there is a nice one for sale.
Just kidding, you are going to have a great time.
Just quick advice:
"Too Close" is a name to watch for.
Don't fall asleep in the woods at dusk.
Don't screw with the shower heat controls.
There's some experience talkin'.
I told Ryan I am thinking of hunting on the ground this year, but I did tell him this right off the bat:
"And if I do hunt on the ground, I want you to know right now that I don't have big-enough-balls-for-too-close. < Maybe you can create a t-shirt with that on it :-) "
I love Too Close! I have seen the two biggest bears I have seen in three trips out of that stand and it was on the same night.
I have yet to sit Determination. That is the one with the wild stories when I have been there.
D.P.
Is there such as thing as "too close"? Sounds fun to me! Don't think there is a bad stand.

I had that same look one night there. Cubs roosted like turkeys around me and some angry Ol girls close by in the dark...
I am going to miss this trip this year. Come on 2017 :) Good luck everyone. If you have never been there prepare yourselves...your mind is soon to be blown :archer2:

Since there is only a view of like 4 feet between you and the bait, of course they looked big. Dave, they were only 4 feet away! :-)
All I can say, when a bear expert like Ryan names a stand Too Close ... well just think about it. :-)
Had to poke this old girl in the nose with my broadhead when she got less than 3 feet away, see the cut off stick. This went on for 5 hours well into the dark. Hunting with Jerry Russell last year in Quebec.

I remember the very first afternoon...I was asked, "Are you afraid of bears?" My answer resulted in a 'Too Close' encounter. When you can smell the blue M&Ms on their breath...you're in the game.
'Determination': Special stand, not for the faint of heart. When the rest of the camp gives you a send-off handshake, you gotta be wondering what's about to happen.
There's nothing as cool as climbing down a mere 10-12 feet at dusk while an aggressive bear is feeding 12 yards away. The rest of the bears are lurking and popping their jaws. You might even be lucky enough to have one in a tree next to you.
3 days I tried to sit this stand. Never got to do it...

My favorite stand at Ryan's is ONE section of ladder stand high...3 feet. It has a large tree top that was taken out by high winds right in front of it. The bears like to climb up that to "investigate". Every so often you have to move just a little to keep them out of your lap.

Can't wait to get back to see some of my favorite people. Next trip my son will finally be able to experience one of the most interesting hunts in NA. Good luck to all this year's hunters.
Never know what the trail cameras might catch!! Is that your serious face Steve?
Hah. To your credit, one of the few place on earth I am not labeled "Robo Cop" is at Stickflingers.

Ryan, Is, Tracy's ground blind still intact?
Now that's what I call a nice low stand! No angle of penetration worries with that one.
And 4' away on Too Close?? Good thing my arrows are cut 29" in case I get to try that one!
I've been practicing at 13 yards. Maybe I better scoot up a little!
I may have to ask Ryan If I can hunt that 3 ftr...like the idea of being that close.
As close as you want boys!
The ground blind Bill.... Is still kinda there but always being knocked down by bruins!
