Title: Is there a Dr. in the house?
Post by: Msturm on April 05, 2016, 10:15:00 PM
I am currently in writing a Doctoral Dissertation on Hunter Education pedagogy and its correlation to hunting related injury. I am pursuing an Ed.D degree from USC (Hawaii cohort) and I have been searching for a third dissertation committee member that has some knowledge of hunting. Thus far my search has been to no avail.

If there is anyone on here that has a Doctorate degree of any kind and would be willing to skype or phone conference into a couple dissertation defense meetings (one proposal/oral qualifying exam and one defense) as well as read my dissertation I would really appreciate it.

There would be no need to come to Hawaii unless you really need an excuse!

Please PM me.

Thanks
Mike Sturm

Michael,

I know over at the PBS web site you will find a  couple. One even did a  seminar recently on shoulder muscles and injuries associated to archery.

I also think you would fit in well over there from the little correspondence we've had and reading your posts.

Good luck on your doctorate, and your dissertation.

Mike
I'm a professor and depending on your topic, I might be able to help or put you in contact with the right person.  Ph.D. in Exercise physiology which is generally housed in a college of education (i.e. pedagogy component).  I have chaired several and been on lots of committees.  also have a mild background with some safety issues. if I can't help you then I have two other guys who might be ideal.  Send me an email and if you want we can set a time to talk.  PS - if you can find the $$$ to get me to Hawaii, then i'm IN!!!! LOL

Thank you everyone for your support! I have several emails to write and a couple phone calls to return. I am talking to my Dissertation chair later today and I will get back to everyone after that!

Thanks again. You are really a great bunch of people!
