anyone use this to install inserts
Used it on dozens of carbon shafts works fine.
Works fine but .I prefer the quick stick hot melt from Big Jim. Easier to reverse.

Works excellent just make sure arrows are cut right cause it's permanent
I used it for years. I went to the glue from Big Jim and have had only one insert start to back out. I heated the tip a bit and pushed it back in. The JB Weld inserts never moved.
All I use. Insert can be removed with the drill bit method.
Thanks . I figured it would work just wanted to make sure i wasn't doing anything stupid... As is usually the case
Just use Big Jim's Quick Stick hot melt and you won't ever have to worry about losing inserts again..........AND..........you will be able to easily remove an insert anytime you wish!

I used it on all my Gold Tips and works great.
All I use now on my CX Heritage
Switched to Big Jims last year and have no intentions of going back to JB Weld.
Since switching to JB have NEVER had a problem. It is permanent. I have no intention of using something invented so that it may come loose. :)
What kind of JB weld do you use? Is it like a putty when you buy it? Or is it like the epoxys?
I see there are a bunch of JB weld products when I go to the hardware store.

No putty, 2 part original jb weld. Nothing against Big Jims stick, but I have had inserts come loose with it. I prep inserts and shafts appropriately.
Used it for a couple of years on GT shafts but I like the Big Jim's hot melt better. Easier to reverse
