I'm new to trad archery.
Figured i'de ask and she what kind of bow and what arrows most of you are shooting.
Right now for me
Samick sage, 50 # at 28 inch
28 inch draw length
Just have wooden from rose city archery,
30 inch 55/60 and 60\\65 with 125 gr tip
Ike I said I'm new so have a lot to learn but for now working on form with them woods then will tune some carbons.

I have a samick sage also - Here is my list.
1. Samick sage 50lb
Arrow: 31 inch Easton Axis 400 ,125 gr, with 75 insert, 4 inch parabolic cut feathers.
2. Hoyt Buffalo 55lb , uses the same Easton trads
3. Warf( Parker --Buckhunter Riser / samick sage limbs -61 inches/ arrow for this can very , I use both the Eastons/ Victory vap.

I draw 29 inches.
Out of both of those I'll be shooting 340 Axis arrows with 75 grain brass inserts and 150 grain stinger heads.
Right now got my turkey bow tuned up and ready to go.
Shooting my 58" thunderstick mag 50@27 with gt trad 3555's cut to 28.5 with 50 grain brass inserts and 175 grain vpa heads.
Several different ones that I have built, and some that I have received in the Bow Swaps. Usually use carbon shafts with a few alum. ones mixed in.
I'm shooting my turkey bow right now.

My go to is a 1964 Bear Cub pulling 50lbs at 28 inches. I shoot a 29.5 in Easton Trad Only carbon shaft in 500 spine with 250 up front.
I love this bow! I got it for 50 bucks. Even though it is 20 years older than I am, its a nail driver if I do my part!
I have also put down some game with a Samic Sage. in 55lbs. I shoot a full legnth warrior 400 spine with 300 grains up front for that.

1960 Bear Kodiak 50 lb at 28. Gold Tip blems 35/55 cut 29 3/4 250 Grains up front.
Big Jim Thunderchild. 52 at 28. Gold Tip Blems 55/75 cut 29 3/4 with 225 up front.
The bow I have been shooting for the past few months is a 66" 52#@28" "Old Tom" Longbow by David Miller.
Shooting 60-65 Doug fir shafts 29" with 160gr points, stos 2 blade, or vpa 3 blade.
Shoot a couple, a Bear and a Martin. Beman Centershots for arrows.
Been shooting a couple Wild Horse Creeks lately. My Kestrel and a Hawk. Shooting D&M FMJs and 200 gr points.
My go to bows for the last several years have been an HHA Cheetah 55# @28", wooden arrows and a Northern Mist Shelton 53# @28", wooden arrows. I have recently acquired a Northern Mist Shelton in yew that is 53# @28", also shooting wood that I hope will join the go to ranks.

Palmer Classic Recurve, 64" and 54lbs at my draw. Shooting 31" Beman ICS Hunter shafts with 145gr tips. Arrows are fletched with 3, 4" LW feathers. Hunting set up is the same with Grizzly or VPA 150gr broadheads.

My go to bow is a MOAB 60in, 55@28. Shooting 29.5in Axis trads with 50gr brass inserts,125gr adapters, and 190 gr meatheads or centaur battle axes. 4x4 fletch with wraps.
I love this setup so much I ordered a plain Jane MOAB with the same specs from Mr Reynolds........and just got it last night! Great hunting setup for me.

Longbows and wood arrows with 160+ grain heads. Current setup is a Toelke Whip HS Classic, 62" and 50 lb at 26". Arrows are Douglas Fir shafts from Surewood, tail tapered and finished by me. I like heavy heads in the 200+ range.
Have bear grizzly 55lbs with cedar arrows love the setup. also have ausable 45 lbs saving for cedar arrows as I do not have any for it at the moment =(.
Mostly have been shooting my 45# Falco Storm 54" R/D Longbow. Love this bow. I have been shooting 1530 GT Trads.
Also have a #45 Bear Grizzly that like the same arrows. It will shoot GT 3555's fine as well.
Have my brothers #40 Samick Sage that I don't shoot because I got it after he died this pas year. Have a hard time using it.
Also have an old 30# PSE takedown that I bought about 12 years ago after a shoulder injury. My wife now uses it.
I like the Falco Storm a lot. It has two layers of carbon and draws so smooth. Feels like it is much less weight then 45#. The Bear Grizzly is also 45# but feels like a 55#. Go figure.

Used to focus on one-piece longbows and wood arrows, but I recently started shifting into 3-piece TD recurves and aluminum. I'm actually making my first set of self-made arrows for my newest bow this weekend! Very excited!
