Title: Turkey hunting Ohio
Post by: HOGLESS2 on March 17, 2016, 07:42:00 AM
My 16 year old son said he wants to go turkey hunting in southern Ohio. I'm looking for any recommendations for a good public hunting area to take him. I live in north east ohio and only been to salt fork hunting and looking for some thing different. He wants to camp out.
Thanks for any info.

Tar Hollow is a good area, has turkey and nice campground, check out some of the high ground around the fire tower or other high ground ridges.

Tar Hollow is a good choice, at least it was 5 years ago lots of birds.

Thanks Guys. I think we are going to check it out.
Called there yesterday and talked to a park ranger, sounds like plenty of camping areas.
