Got a new one coming next week. Are they any different than the standard model as far as speed. quietness, smoothnesss etc?
Excellent timing, just getting ready to ask the same thing.
since i initiated the sparrowhawk design and worked with vince on its prototype years ago, and also named it, i think i might be able to answer yer questions. ;)
while i loved the mohawk and it did everything i wanted in a mild r/d hybrid longbow that braced to a classic "D" shape, i kept thinking about a version of the mohawk that was closer to an AFL (american flat longbow, or in essence a hill style longbow).
what i wanted were narrow and thicker limbs, and that's what the sparrowhawk is all about. with its mild r/d, added 5th core lamination and deeper limb cross section, the s'hawk is a tad smoother, a bit more stable, and points easier for me. that's about it! ENJOY! :D

I have 4 Mohawks. 3 of them are 64" longbow models and the other is a 66" Sparrowhawk. I really can't attest to any big difference in shooting them. I must say they are my favorites as they are such a smooth sweet bow
Now if someone just a answer my WTB add in the classifieds for a 2 piece!
I have 2....what Rob said. ...plus.....
Soooooooooo quiet with Hush Puppies!!!
what a pleasurable bow to shoot
Rob covered it...I was actually lucky enough to buy the Sparrowhawk he shot as a prototype and wrote his initial review while I was waiting on a Robertson Primal Styk. I love the Robertson but wish I kept that Mohawk Sparrowhawk as it was a sweet shooting bow. I may get another just because it was such a sweet bow.
Light in hand, quiet, shot heavy arrows with authority...just a pleasure to shoot and own.
