I just finished up my second PBS banquet. It was nonstop fun and laughs. I'm really kicking myself for not becoming part of this sooner. I had several highlights. One of which was having several conversations including one that was over an hour long with Monty Browning.

I also had a great conversation with Uncle Barry. I was able to get him and Gene together for a picture...Me with the Dream Team!!

Looks like a great time Sean!

Awesome.
Sean, great pictures. I'm glad to hear you had a wonderful time. It's hard to beat the PBS banquets. Thanks for sharing. Where is the next one going to be?
Shick
Awesome buddy looks like a great time for sure thxs for sharing pics!
Its hard to believe so many "Icons" are in one place.
I'm glad you had a great time Sean. I know its hard not to when you are like a kid on a Candy Mountain!
Now tell us what you won :readit:
Looks like a great time!
Bisch
That looks like a blast!
Wish I could have made it, Sean...a great gathering of great folks!
Nice report Sean, and thanks for sharing the pictures.
I'm looking forward to attending the Wensel Boot Camp early next month.
PBS is a great organization.
Thanks Shick. I Believe it's going to be in Indy.

I was hoping to see you there. Attendance was low, but that didn't detract from the good time!!

That's Great Irv!! You'll have fun!!
Like the pics Sean.
Thanks for sharing!
I've been very lucky to share hunting camp with a lot of the folks in the pictures, great people!
I've been researching the brown bear camp where Monty shot at the time what was tied for the number 1 p+y brown bear. Sending deposit this week. Every time I talk to the outfitter he talks very highly of Monty! I've heard he is a great speaker. Hope to make a PBS banquet someday, been a member along time...still haven't made one.
Bill, this was my second and they just keep getting better. I was hanging out with Toby quite a bit. This was his first and I think he really enjoyed himself. I had a ton of laughs all weekend. I sat next to Fred Asbell for Friday nights dinner. We talked about a lot of stuff as well. the auction was great. A lot of cool stuff. Terry Receveur's gator hunt went for somewhere around $3100. You have to make one one of these years.
I know it!!
It was great to see you again Sean. Sitting in Chicago now (4 more hours), but it's well worth the time to be able to see so many friends in one place.
We've already started making plans to attend the next Gathering, AFTER we head to the cabin in Yellowstone, that we won last night, to spend a week in America's awesomeness. The boys are in for one heck of an adventure.
Ha Mike!! I was telling my wife about your Yellowstone trip!! It was great seeing again bud. I rode in the airport shuttle with Bryan Burkhardt and his wife. ee had s real nice talk about moose hunting. Another great guy!
Mike...look me up if you come up to Yellowstone, I'm right at it's doorstep...and along the Yellowstone River.
This was my first PBS Banquet. It went by too quickly.. Unfortunately it was held at the same time as our Florida State Traditional 3D shoot, The TBOF Spring Shoot..I traveled back and forth between the two.

You got it Mark. Maybe our boys could get a fishing lesson or two while we are there?
We definitely will be looking for all the things we must do while out there, which will be summer of 2017 it is looking like.
I was hoping to make this springs banquet but plans did not work out for us. We did get to do the PBS pig hunt in Texas which was a hoot. Now trying to put together a elk hunt in Idaho.
Another good time I've missed. I'm glad to hear good things about it. I'll make another one sometime soon.
Sean you name dropper you...
Ha Monk!! Were YOUR ears ringing???? Toby and I were talking about you!! I was showing off your bear at the Widow table.
I think this was the 8th or 9th banquet I have traveled to, and they have all been great. Attendance was down a little bit on this one, but Florida is a long ways to travel for a lot of the country.
Some great seminars this time as well, Monty Browning, Joel Turner, Terry Receuver, etc. These things are always a good time... catching up with old friends and making plans for that next hunt.
Another great PBS gathering. Great to meet you Sean.

I always learn at the seminars... What a valuable resource of shared knowledge in the PBS.

Plus just great Bowhunters...!
I really wanted to sit in on this seminar but I tied myself up selling tickets.
My friend Bill Wyland and I made it back home to Maryland safe and sound. I must say we both had a grand time. It was also great to meet and talk to folks that I had only talked to via the pages of Tradgang and the PBS web site. To Both Mike Vines and Sean Bleakley, it was certainly my pleasure to get to see, meet and talk to you two gentlemen in person. Mike thanks very much for the book on hunting elk in Montana. I also was able to reconnect with a fellow PBS member that I had not seen for quite sometime, and that person is Ron Herman. Ron and I go back a ways when he was here in Maryland. Ron it was great talking and catching up on old times old friend. Kudos to Jack and Brenda, and all of the PBS council that got this thing off the ground and running. A job very well done. I am already looking forward to 2018 for the next PBS banquet. Until we meet again at a hunting camp, traditional shoot or the next banquet, Shoot Straight and Good Hunting.

Was another great weekend with our PBS friends, so glad we were able to go!!!!
Hey Tony, it was great to finally meet you too. I hope to share a hunting camp sometime. I can't say enough about this event. It was just what I neded!!
Tony, it was a surprise and a great pleasure to reconnect with you after all these years (1999)....almost brought a tear to my eye. You and Phil are two of my favorite people from that period of my life....thank you brother! Hope to see you at our hog hunt soon down here...
There were 100's of PBS members there that I wanted to meet but somehow it just didn't happen.. I did see some I already knew including Toby from BW, Jonathan from 3Rivers, Greg S his wife and son and Don Davis. David and Tracey Balowski answered all my questions about T-bird bow finish and the India Ink dip pens they sell..I brought some of their products home to try out. All the vendors were friendly and helpful.
Thank you for sharing, great pics everyone!! Sounds like a great time.
Man, I wish I could have made it but the TBOF shoot in Ocala being the same weekend made it tough(plus I needed to do some feeder work on Sunday).
Seems like an amazing gathering of friends and collected knowledge.
(TBOF was a blast,though)
We sat with Toby and his bride at dinner Saturday night. Too much fun! I've known Toby for years as we are both United Bowhunters of Missouri members and see each other every year at those banquets. Just neat that he came all the way to Florida with a Black Widow booth FULL of awesome Widow bows. Getting to hang out at dinner was just icing on the PBS cake.

Also had this guy at my table for dinner.. I think some of you may subscribe to his magazine. Yes the bowhunting stories were awesome!

Hey John, it was great meeting you and your family. That's one of the cool things about the PBS, you never know who your going to run into. I sat next to Fred Asbelk for Friday nights dinner.
It's was great to see Toby again and to meet his wife Krissie. Sharing a hunting camp with him is a lot of fun!!
A PBS banquet is as much fun as going on a hunting trip. The weekends always go by far too quickly, but I love every minute!
One common theme of all my pics is I am never in them. Thank you Sean for taking this of us...

We really enjoyed this gathering in FL as it allowed us to make a vacation out of it. The time flies by as you catch up with old friends and make new ones. Hunts planned and shared. I have to give Dr Steve a huge ataboy for his shoulder seminar. He did a great job in explaining what goes on in there and how to keep them happy. You can bet that we will be at the next one.
