Cuz it gives me a reason to wear my fur mountainman duds. Can you say "traditional"? :goldtooth:

If I had FUR like that I'd look forward to winter too. I'll bet it is cozy warm!!
Bear Claw!!!
Didn't I see you on jeramiha johnson?
That is a fine looking coat. I would stay away from the stick tights though.
My grandfather-in-law has and OLD black bear coat. Story is, when he was a kid (or even before) there was a man who transported bulk mail bundles by horse drawn sleigh that used to wear it. Now, this is in western NY, so I can imagine that bear coat got its fair use! Now days, walking around the woods in something like that where I hunt would probably get me full of holes. But on you, the whole ensemble looks spot on! And by the looks of it you won't be the least bit chilly!
Ron, you got the COOOLEST duds !
ChuckC
The coat is buffalo, the hat and mitts are beaver...yep, warm :archer:
I really love this
I have been wanting to build some stalking moccasins. Need to save a hide when I get a chance.

I made a pair of them one time but here's a pair of Fleece lined buffalo hide moccasin/boots made by Dyer Moccasins

You have to be one of the coolest dudes walking this planet... Man crush! :dunno: :dunno: :dunno:
Sweet but probably a little much for S.W. Louisiana. We have only had three days below freezing this year and only for a few hours each time. What does a full Buffalo coat weigh?
Ron....gonna look into those moccasins. ..but you gotta tell me....who made the coat!!!
Those moccasins are awesome!
One question, can you actually shoot wearing all that stuff?
QuoteOne question, can you actually shoot wearing all that stuff?
Absolutely, I have my shooting tab on inside the beaver mitts which slip off easily. The coat itself doesn't get in the way of drawing the bow. I have a long wool coat that I wear sometimes which is also warm but the buffalo coat is a fun way to slip back in time. :bigsmyl:

I cant think of anyone else that looks like he was made for those clothes vs those clothes made for him. I love my Dyers.
Definitely a cool Dude! I mean warm  Ron is the man
I like that bison coat, but I'd never wear it in the woods around where I live. Some fool would shoot me for sure.
Gonna wear that outfit to the Bunny Stomp on Saturday Ron?
Be careful out there Ron. Some greenhorn may think he found bigfoot!! Beautiful coat.
Great gear indeed!!

Terry, Ron got that at a traditional rendezvous in Kalamazoo MI (not the one great northern puts on). I think it was special ordered though-took a couple of buffalo for all the material. :bigsmyl:
It just doesn't get cold enough down here for a buffalo coat, but I would still like to have one.
I like it! I like those moccasins too.
I looked them up though thinking maybe I'd get some. Yikes, a lot more than I've ever spent on footwear. Must be Jordans (I'm only kidding, they look sooooo comfortable)!
