Title: Easton axis and Ad trad heavies
Post by: acedoc on February 29, 2016, 11:29:00 AM
Just got my new arrows in the mail form Gary. 6 of Ad trad heavies 340 and 12 easton axis 300 . With my own designed hill style 3:1 bh , 270 grain the easton axis is at 660 grains and the AD trad at mid 700. With zwickey eskilite I get 550 and 650.
The axis feels like a great foc deal by just holding it in my hand.
May be headed stateside and will definitely be going hog hunting.
What would you shoot for hogs? Foc or arra weight?
Regards

Either seems fairly hefty with a fair amount of FOC.  To be shooting that stiff a shaft, you're shooting a pretty heavy bow. In short, either will work just fine..

Not real heavy bow. Around 53 lbs at 31.5 inches. Maybe the draw length has something to do with it.

Draw length does have something to do with it.  The longer the draw length, the more spine you need.  Regardless, either will work fine.

Whichever one shoots the best or that you have the most confidence in. Both are very adequate setups.
