Would different weight in arrows make a huge performance change?
I usually shoot gold tip trads 400. 9.3 grns per inch. I got some gold tips 400 that are 8.2 per inch. It's not a huge difference but i have never fooled with new arrows.
The difference is primarily in the coating to give the trads a wood grain look. Regardless, that's about 30 grains on a 30-inch arrow. Most folks can't shoot that difference. But if it bothers you, or you just want a heftier arrow, go with a 25-30 grain heavier point.
Thanks I didn't think 30 grains would make that much of a difference. I am going on a hog hunt in the near future and didn't want to mess thing up with new arrows a couple of weeks before I go down south.
30 grains on the tip could be noticeable.
30 grains over the length of the arrow...not so much..unless you're a darn good shot.
