Title: Pros/cons of uni weft?

I've read that uni-weft can add noise to a bow. What say you?

I've had one or two sets of limbs with uniweft in the makeup. No noisier than any other limb, but more lateral stability.

Yep, to my ears the one I had with it was very loud.

Thanks for the comments. I have some more research to do.

I use uniweft in my R/D bows. I use a .030 lam for the center lam. It really makes a more torsionally stable bow, much more forgiving for a bad release IMHO.

My issues very well could just be me.  I can't stand most bows with carbon in them either.  It could be a tone issue as much as a noise issue.

Are you guys finding the noise in both recurves and longbows or just recurves ? My Javaman recurve seems ('seems" as I cannot say for sure) a bit noisy. I'm working on a theory about it but wonder if it's in LBs too.
