Hey all.
I have a few GG2 arrows in 500 spine and I just got some of the Tribute arrows in 2016 a couple weeks ago.
I am wondering if there are any differences in the aluminum that makes up the shaft cause from my eyes they are made of the same alloys.
Also, is there any differences in the 500 spine and the 2016? I thought those were equal but I am seeing my GG2 arrows behaving differently out of my longbow than how the Tributes do.
They are the same length, same points, inserts, wraps and feathers.
Thanks
Nalajr
Shouldn't be any difference, but I've found the nocks on the .500 aluminum sometime cause them to act a little funny.
The Tributes are 7075 aluminum but rated at a lower psi strength than the GG XX75
A 500 hundred is just that .500 deflection. a 2016 is .531 so they are a little weaker.
A GG 500 IS a 2016....531 deflection.
Deflection times a 1000 give you the shaft. .500 times 1000 give you 500 shaft. Not that it matters much but a 2016 is .531 deflection. Infomation from easton charts. The 500 shaft is standardized to fit the 2016 range.
