Anyone ever seen one like this? It's like an illegitimate step child of a Chinook and a kestrel. Says it's a 58" recurve but string suggest it's a 56" bow. Got home after dark, shooting review will have to wait, but it gets back to 30" with no issue. Dan said it's a design he built on the way to the chinook. Thought you all might find it interesting. Where do you find those gems?
A 2-piece too!
Wow...very cool..!!
You have to be quick to beat me to a good deal on a Toelke!
Can't wait to give that one a try! We are going to have fun at the Ky Trad Fest.
When and where is the Ky Trad Fest...I'm not too far in AR...!!
Very nice.
Think I saw that bow on FB. I wondered what it was. Glad you got it. Enjoy!
Harrodsburg, Ky, April 8-10
I had a Pre Chinook 58 inch 1 PC.Might have been just like yours.I liked it and hunted with it 1 season. It was very quiet and shot nice!
Feels to me more like a kestrel then a chinook. Shoots well, but I already have two Chinooks in the same weight, probably move this one to the next guy. Look for it soon in the classifieds. :)
neat bow for sure.
Looks good, but that is a pretty slim amount of info and picts. Looking forward to your review.
You want more pictures? It's quiet, fast, and smooth, but it's a Toelke so you already knew that. If I didn't already have two Chinooks in the weight range it would probably stay.

I've found it's pretty common for Dan's recurves to run a little shorter AMO on string length.
Shorter or longer, I usually need an extra 1/2"? This one is running about a 53" string, that's pretty short for a 58" bow.
