Tall Tines? They look great!
Yes sir. Thanks. Pretty happy with how they turned out. Black and white ebony stickflingers with gaboon ebony flares. I am a lefty, so the one on the bottom is mine. I expect the other lucky parent will post shortly.
Gorgeous, what are the specs?
Are those the "tweaked" riser I heard about? Maybe I can intercept it on the way from Iowa to Oklahoma and try it out for you?
Had me confused! I though they were both yours!!!
Nice lookin' sticks!!!
Bisch
Mine will be 61# @ 29", and is 64" long. Dave's(dirtybird) is 62" and 61# @ 28".
These are the new risers for the stickflinger.
Thanks Bisch. Hope they shoot half as well as Dave's other stickflinger.
Not choosing sides or anything, but the wrong-handed one has the better looking piece of wood in the riser too!!!
Bisch
Tough to choose between siblings, but I think the rh veneers are a touch nicer. I don't think either of them are likely to be put up for adoption anytime soon.
Pat and I were lucky to have Mr.Wessel as a surrogate Mother to our twins. We might have to have preform a C-section on thursday.
Seriously, I'm excited to have another stickflinger and if this one shoots as good as the one I have now I will be one happy camper.
And Bisch I agree but that can't always be beautiful twins. Every now and then you get that red headed step child kind of twin. LOL :scared: :banghead:
David, when you get the new bow could you post pictures of the new style riser next to the original style riser so we can see the differences?
Thanks
Nice
Congrats guys I am happy for you both there both beautys!! And yes I have shot Dave's they are a great bow and also easy on the eyes to say the least...BEST OF LUCK with them I am sure there will be some blood on the ground soon!!
Beauties...good luck
Deno
They are both very nice looking bows! We expect lots of games pics later on.
Pat, you are one sick individual.
Had me going there, figured that you were going to be raising two very lucky children.
No, you are starting yet another affair with a new pair of shapely limbs.
Mm, mmm, mmmph! :nono:
Killdeer
Real beauties there, congrats. Hope they shoot as well as they look.
My wife knows about it. We have an open relationship like that, lol.
Beautiful bows! Tall Tines are my personal preference! I have a recurve that shoots amazing. My buddy just bought a stickflinger at Kalamazoo and it is sweet! I'm having a little elbow trouble though and thinking about selling mine and ordering a stickflinger 10lbs lighter. Brain is a great guy to deal with.
They are both beautiful. I love mine. Enjoy
Ah Pat. I am sooo jelly. You're spoiling yourself!!
Very nice. What was the "tweak" with the riser that was mentioned?
Thanks
Kyle
When did Brian change the riser shape I am curious because the other was dam near perfect.
The new design seem a bit bulkier . I also would love to see them side by side.

Couldn't wait. Had my wife drop it off at work. Actually came out at 58# @ 29".
For those of you that asked, here bis a pic of Dave's older riser along with the new.

Thanks Patrick. Looks to just be some subtle changes.
Good looking kill sticks guys.. That Ebony is sharp looking wood. Enjoy!
Pat that is pretty sharp looking. Very nice wood combo.
Yep....that's an awesome wood choice. I'm planning to have my next custom build use that exact combo. Nice looking bows.
Beautifully crafted bows by Brian!
Nice wood combos but when it comes to TD longbows, I prefer the limbs flushed into the riser instead of just sitting on top. That setup is okay for recurves but not LBs IMHO. Personal preference is all. Very nice looking bow otherwise and I'm sure it's a shooter.
Those turned out great. I've not ever seen black and white ebony I've liked till now. I'll have to put that on the list!
Honestly one of the coolest looking bows I've seen
Really nice looking bows gentleman, congrats's.

That is a link to Dave shooting his stickflinger a day after he got it with big treesharks on the arrows. I think they flew great. Not sure exactly how to embed the video. I think you need a video player that can play mov. files for QuickTime movies to view this, but I am not sure.
sweet Pat. she is a beauty..

Subtle difference. Nice.
All I can say is wow for what a fantastic job Brian did with both these bows. I've got to tune mine the past week and it tuned up very well and is a very fast and whisper quite bow. A shout out to Mr. Brian Wessel for making functional pieces of art that we can hunt with.
