I am tremendously sad to bring this news....
I do not have all the info, and do not want to post anything incorrectly, but Izzy passed away last night. along with some of his family members.
Please remember his survivors and pray for them at this time.
He was a great member of TradGang as well as an all around great guy who loved to hunt and loved being around others with the same passion. He was a pleasure to have in camp.
He will be greatly missed.
OMG!!!!!! I can't even come up with any other words!!!!!
Prayers up for all his family!!
Bisch
Oh NO, this is very sad. Izzy was a friend and a great asset to this site. May he rest in peace as well as those that went with him. May the Lord bless them and bring peace to his surviving family.
Very bad news. Prayers and condolences to his family.
Izz and his cousin Ray were really great hunting camp companions....I have a lot of photos and fond memories of their trips to Hog Heaven.
Prayers for his family.. terrible news.
His oldest son was the only immediate survivor, so we will try and do something for him as a group.
OMG. This is very sad news. Prayers for his family.
Bisch, I believe you were at Solana one year when Izzy was there and killed those two big hogs am I right?
This is so sad. We just talked the
other day.
I was there one year with him Terry, and Bisch came up and visited. I know he killed a pig or two that year as well as a nice buck. Please if you get info on what happened please pm me the details.
I enjoyed every minute your were in camps with me Izzy....its going to be a long day.

Solana is where I met Izzy! I was just visiting and playing archery games. He was not there the year I hunted Solana. He showed us a grand time when we stopped up in his hood on the way to Bear Quest a few years ago. I just can't believe all this!!!!!
Bisch
Prayers for the family.
Yeah....that was the year you, me and Izzy had that little fun 'shoot out' I believe and I was shooting someone elses bow.
There' pictures I'm sure of that day on the Solana thread of that year.
Very sad news! Prayers for the family.
Wow, terrible news. I only knew him a little through classified transactions here, great guy.
My condolences to his family and friends.
I'm speechless. Never met the guy but loved everything I knew of him. He bought a St.Jude's item I posted.....a shirt that a screen printing buddy of mine made. It said "Izzy Arrows, handcrafted in Milton DE" after my daughters name Isabel. As soon as he saw it, he knew he had to have it.
Life is fleeting. I'll hug my wife and daughter a little harder today. Prayers to the family.
My condolences to his family and friends.
I too am so saddened by the loss .. prayers for his son and remaining family. May God bless them with a peaceful heart.
2 Corinthians 1:3-4

So sad. I read lots of his posts.
Terrible news. Izzy and I had talked of him coming out to Wyoming to hunt sometime, and we had private discusssions about police work. I'm very sad to hear such awful news.
I did not know Izzy other than here on this site. Loved his posts. Makes me think of a verse, Psalm 103:15-16.
As for man, his days are like grass;
he flourishes like a flower of the field;
for the wind passes over it, and it is gone,
and its place knows it no more.
my heart goes out to his family.
How tragic and sad. I was fortunate enough to meet him and his cousin Ray at Hog Heaven, heckuva a nice guy. Prayers for his family.
Izzy made these arrows for me, "just because", and sent them as a gift. He was a friend that I never got to meet in person, and I know he was a devoted family man. So sorry.

Words can not express what I'm feeling right now . Izzy was such a great person I was fortunate enough to have hunted with him and ran into him at several shoots. He loved everything traditional and had a heart of gold. I know your in a great place now and you certainly left your mark here my brother .

What a terrible Birthday for me. Hes the second person I called a friend I found out passed away today. We talked about Silvertips quite a bit. RIP bro.
What a loss, he was a good guy always full of nice words!
Prayers sent for the family and closest friends.
RIP ,Izzy.
Izzy was a fantastic person committed to protecting each of us, everyday as a police officer. He was a gentleman whose smile and demeanor seemed as if you had known him all your life. When you talked to him it was about family, about his kids, about your kids and about life. He had passion and commitment for all he did and will be truly missed.
I took this picture in Colorado back in September and sent it to him, having a few laughs. I will not soon forget Izzy, the strength in his handshake or his incredible blue eyes that pierced right through you. My thoughts and prayers go out to everyone whose lives he touched, I am very glad to have known him.

I am beyond stunned! Saw this as I was checking to see if Izzy had responded to a PM that I had sent to him late LAST NIGHT! Thought it strange he hadn't replied yet.....
Rest in Peace Izzy, condolences and prayers to his son & extended family.

What can be said? Tragic. Prayers for all affected by this great loss.
Can't believe it. Prayers sent skyward for the family.
the real earthbound tragedy is the surviving son - what a heavy burden for a teenager to be dealt, and to live with for the rest of his life.
while the tragedy and its roots are unimaginably senseless, the boy is the one to rally around and support. in doing so, this will honor izzy and family.
Very sad day, prayers for the family.
Very sad news. Prayers sent for all his loved ones.
Denny
Prayers for him and his boy.
As a 55 year old ,I check the obituaries more latley.
I see a lot in their 50's passing

Just sick at my stomach , got to spend an afternoon with him on the way to Near Quest. Could not have been more helpful. Rest in pease. Prayers are for all. Bob
Just now got a break at work to check Tradgang and discovered this... What an empty hurt that comes from losing someone. I did not know IZZY personally, only through his posts and associated friends here on the site. Life is precious, yet our days are ultimately in God's hands... Hard to understand why a tragedy like this happens but I know that God is Good All the time and is someone to run to & not away... God holds the World & everything in it within His hands, including IZZY's boy. I pray that God will protect him and draw him close, surrounding him with love, support, and peace. May God bless him and keep him during this incredible loss and trial. Lord help him and surviving family & friends. As seen by the many posts already, IZZY and his family will be missed. I will pray...
Painful...
For those that know, let us Tradgangers know how we can help...
Well said, KAZ!

Only knew Izzy through his posts, some classified transactions, and a few p.m.'s regarding kitty hunting. That said, as gathered by others in previous posts he was held in high regard. Unfortunately, we have lost one of the goods ones.
An arrow and a prayer will be loosed this weekend in his honor.
Izzy was a great friend, somebody I shared a hunt with.
I am devastated!
Is there anything we can do for his son?
What can be done to help?
Does someone know what happened?

It saddens my heart to hear of Izzy's passing and the tragedy suffered by his family. Our trad gang campfire has gotten a little smaller. RIP Izzy May your quiver never empty and your shots always strike true.
I was lucky enough to have met Izzy in person once he was a pleasure to be around.
Thoughts and prayers to all his family and friends who are hurting from this loss.
Bretto
What a blessed gift we shared in Izzy
What a blessed gift of love, beyond our imagining, he shall receive as he returns to the author of life.
May we find thanksgiving in this gift bestowed in communal love that we shared.
May God's mercy and peace rest upon those whom have fled this valley of tears.
Very sad news indeed.
What tragic news. So so sad. My prayers go out to his son and family. Goodbye and rest easy Izzy. We will miss you.
No words , he kept telling me he was going to move here to Tx. And be my neighbour....
He would call me the HogFather and always get a laugh out of me.....
RIP Brother......
,,,,Sam,,,,
Terrible news. Prayers for his family. RIP Izzy
Tragic doesn't seem like a strong enough word. Though I never even so much as exchanged PM's with him, I consider him a brother twice over (as a traditional bowhunter and as a Law Enforcement Officer). I always enjoyed reading his posts and I know that he must be an awesome person to be held in such high regard by so many respected people.
Prayers for those whose lives are changed forever by this loss.
I don't even know what to think, feel, say... I'm at such a loss.
Very sad. We'll miss you pal.
Prayers to you and your family.
Totally outside the realm of understanding. I've thought about this for some time and have not posted anything......until now. Only last week did Izzy offer up his Lin Rhea knife on the classifieds. I made contact with him and purchased his knife. It was received only last Friday. Emails were exchanged and Izzy told me he was glad I had the knife and wished me good hunting this fall and hoped that the knife would be special to me. I'm still struggling with the events of this day.
May God bless Israel Roman, his family and survivors and may God bless each and every Trad Gang member in this time of our corporate loss.
Danny

"Sad" is totally inadequate. May God bless his son.
I don't know him except through his posts, but he was a kindred spirit, so I pray for him, and for peace and healing for his son and others who may have been affected by this tragedy. God is love and love is God, and I thank God every morning for all the love he has shared with me, and is there for all who seek it.
Lord please watch over Izzy and family. Please have their beds turned down for them. This is very sad to hear. I'm in shock as others are.Wow life is but a whisp.

One of the coolest hogs taken at my camp - by the Izz
when my phone was blowing up today at work, I knew something was wrong.
I'm at a loss and am still in shock.
Izzy was a Great Family Man who loved his wife and kids PERIOD, no matter what ANYONE says!
Prayers for his Oldest son. When the time is right, I want to help.
Rest in Peace Izzy for you, your wife and youngest. You will be missed and have always stood up for right no matter how unpopular the decision and how dangerous. As Ron Mentioned, there have been times we didn't see eye to eye but I always admired him and took life lessons where they were given.
One hunting trip we shared together in the Adirondacks, we left early and he raced me home because I became ill. I will never forget.
Farewell, until we meet again at the eternal campfire.
That was a great weekend Ray.

What a loss of life and love. Never met him but enjoyed his posts... Please give his son the strength to continue and make his parents and little brother proud.
God Bless.
A while back Izzy started a thread about how special Silvertips are and I ordered one because of that and all the guys who I respected thought so highly of them. One of my goals was to meet him one day, well man plans and God laughs... I am so sad as we all are. So hard to understand this....
I tried to get that knife Danny. I never heard back from him. I'm glad u got it. I would hold on to it for sure.
May God give comfort to all who knew him and loved him.
I'm totally stunned.
God bless you & keep you & yours Izz.

Like so many of you other Trad-Gangers I was fortunate enough to have been around IZZY quite a few times,TG Bunny Hunts in NY,Muzzy Shoot,Denton Hill as well as PMing back and fourth along with both being a fan of PAUL SCHAFER.The last interaction Izzy & I had I sent him some pictures of Paul Schafer which he really enjoyed. He was a solid gentlemen with some old school values. As it has been said over & over in this post he will be missed, but not forgotten.Hopefully his son Noah will continue on with what he & his father loved Archery & Bowhunting.
Hate hear about this. I never had the opportunity to meet him. Praying for his family.
Jeff
Man what a punch in the gut! I only knew Izzy from his posts and pics but always admired him. I'm so sorry for this loss and will be praying for his family and close friends... please comfort and strengthen them Lord.
What a shock. We were in contact this week as I bought a bow from him that is supposed to be here tomorrow. I never had the pleasure of meeting him in person but I always got the feeling that we would have hit it off. Rest in peace.
Terrible thing to lose one of our own and even worse for his family. May God hold his family tight to ease the pain.
We will be turning our efforts to do something for the Surviving son.
He's going to need some help for sure to deal with this on many levels and I feel that we could do something somehow to help. Not sure just yet how or what, but we'll be thinking about options.
