I know this was brought up before but I could not find it. Has anyone found a good aluminum or steel shaft for footing? Also does anyone know the OD of the .500 centershots? 3 rivers has collars but I was not sure which size to purchase. Would rather make my own if possible.
Thanks
Gary
I think I gave my buddy a 2117? Do you have one laying around you can try?
.279 outside diameter according to website. I also found these shafts are a little larger than the old Easton Axis black shafts. Could be the wood grain graphics. I used a 1917 shaft. I would try a 2016 as it is a common size.
Inside diameter of a 2016 is .2805-Hap
Thanks for info guys. I still can not find that .279 number on their site but it sounds correct. I tried 2117 and too sloppy. 2018 won't fit. I have every other shaft known to man except 2016. On the lookout now for a shaft to try. Hoping my archery club has an old one in the lost and found.
A 2016 is just a tad small to go over a Centershots 500. Didn't measure but tried it, and its very close to fitting.
Thanks. Maybe a 2014 or 2013.
2013 = .2865
2014 = .2845
OK, its figured out, either the 2014 or 2013 will work. Took awhile to find either one of those shafts from the scrap box. The only 2014 I have is a old blue X7 and it just barely slides on. The 2013 goes on but is not sloppy.
