Welp,
I currently have a 60" centaur elite that is #52@29(i draw to 29.5). It has to be one of the smoothest, sweetest shooting bows I have ever shot. I have always shot around #50-#55; just never felt a need to go up in weight at all. I like the fact that I can take it out all day and shoot enjoy myself.
I sweet talked my wife into letting me get on the list for a custom. I knew exactly what I wanted. A centaur Elite 62" and around #58@29. As luck would have it, I saw a guy selling a 62" #56@28 centaur elite, so i bought it. It should be around #60 at my draw length and i'm betting it will be smooth as butter. I have some special arrows I got from Steve Angel at simply traditional that I needed a heavier bow to set them up for. They are Black Eagle Rampage(micro diameter .300's) that I will set this bow up with. I am pumped about it!
I will post pics as soon as I can get them uploaded.
fair warning, don't be leaning over your key board while looking at the pictures... drool is not good for them :)

Good lookin' stick! I have only shot one Centaur, and was plenty impressed by it!

Thats a beauty!
Good lookin' stick Daniel.
Good looking bow!!
Wow!! I got to shoot one some day!
Nice one bud....!!
Very nice....!.....
Daniel, If it's too heavy for you I'll take it off your hands... :biglaugh: Is it as quiet as your Centaur I shot?

Joe,
it should be headed my way today. I will let you know. I am betting with a good string and some decent weighted arrows it will be just as quiet. IMO, a centaur is really sensitive on brace height. If it is 1/8", it will be considerably louder. I like mine right about 6 7/8".
I may have one for sell if this one works out like i'm hoping! :)
QuoteI am betting with a good string...
I know a guy who'll make you one. ;)
BTW, nice pick up! Find another one in 2 pc and 6-10# heavier and I'll trade you a selfbow for it.
:p
If I find me a 2 piece for sell, i'll have a 1 piece for sell...
Beautiful bow! Ive shot one and it shot geat.
looks great!
I have a Centaur Triple Carbon Elite 60" 53@28 and it is my favorite shooter so far. Enjoy your new bow.
Excellent bow!
Good looking Stic
Sweet, bring it by the house Daniel so Kade and I can test drive...
Sweet bow Daniel. Those Centaurs can smoke an arrow. Perfect pig killer
I am sure Daniel is getting the bow tuned up to his standards now. Can't wait to hear how it shoots for him.
You should probably get rid of them. I encountered a fellow on Facebook tonight that is 100% convinced that they stack, says he's been shooting longbows 25 years :help: :dunno:
Looks Good Daniel!

Pat,
I have no idea how in the world people wait for a new bow. Patience is no where close to my strong point. There was some bad weather and the bow did not ship yesterday. It will be shipping today and hopefully be here saturday, but with my luck it will be here monday. So i'll have to work all week and not really get to know the bow very well.
uhh!!!!!
:clapper: Beauty!
Daniel if you think that ur 60" is smooth wait till you draw that 62". Although it will be heavier you will see what I'm talking about. I only draw 28-28.5 and Jim tried to talk me into a shorter bow and his 58 or 60 would have been fine ,I am so glad I got the 62" enjoy Dem bows are something !

I don't think my 60" is smooth.. I KNOW it is. Which is why I am so excited about the 62". I can't express how pleased I am with Jim's bows. I don't think the potential #8 more will feel like much bc of how smooth the bow will be..
....still waiting on the mailman... should be a couple more days..
Centaurs are the short route to financial ruin. I would rather be poor and happy than rich and Centaurless.
Excellent wending of life's ways.
Killdeer :wavey:
Nothing shoots like a Centaur, congrats Daniel.
