I did it!
There will be a recurve in my stable, when my spot on the list is on!
Funny thing is I did it because I am satisfied with my longbows, go figure!
Let me go a repaint the dog house for when the boss will discover that :biglaugh: :shaka:

It's about time.......

Dark side???? Lol!!! Too funny! Its ok and normal, to own and love both recurve and longbow. I know I do! Welcome to the recurve!
It's got to be one of Big Jim's........
Welcome to the recurve side. It happens to the best of us.
Now we need you to start shooting from the left side, and the transition will be complete. :bigsmyl:

My friend shooting a 3D course on Bigjim personal range, I realize that recurves can be silent and fast when I saw the bowyer shooting his bighorn! From there it was easy to want one :biglaugh:
F-Manny
You can't beat BigJim bows.
Whew! For a minute I thought you meant compound bows. Actually, recurves are only the shaded side of the force, not actually the dark side.

:biglaugh: I like it.
You have to sin before you can repent.

this is when it gets a little complicated because if he starts shooting 3 under with a tab and gun barreling those little carbons it becomes more of a chilly mist with a grayish hue :biglaugh: only kidding...
Evil lurks, you must learn to overcome. Change your order.

Luck best of
What color did you paint the dog house?
yeah he needs a new three under tab to go with the new bow

White with a white interior :biglaugh: :biglaugh:
It makes the living room look bigger than what it is

Well I am drawn to the dark side, I am not jumpin' in!
If I shoot 3 under, what excuse would I have left?

I'm still reading the book........ :readit: I think it said 65-70 pounds at 27" in chapter 2....!! :goldtooth:
I'm Sorry Manny, I feel ashamed at myself. I knew if I told Jim to shoot his Bighorn, you would want one, so I informed him of my plan to make you buy a bow. :readit: It's good for business for him and gives me an excuse if I ever choose to buy another bow to say "all my friends are getting new bows".
I think Jim has the 3 piece take down riser nailed on both the Bighorn and Buffalo models.
If Mamma Manny gets mad you can blame me.
When are you going to tell us about your hunt? :p
A hunt? That's an excellent idea Charlie :bigsmyl: :bigsmyl: :bigsmyl:

Hmmm,
I was thinking of going the opposite direction. Every so often I get a desire to learn how to shoot a longbow well. In the midst of it now. Talked to someone from Oregon last night about it. Not good.

Oh boy !, now it's going to be, decisions, decisions. Can't wait to see what your shooting next time we see each other.
(Salut Coureur des Bois),Welcome to the world of recurves.I myself own recurves and longbows. You will find a place for each of them in your heart.
MAY THE SPIRIT OF FRED BEAR GUIDE OUR ARROWS.
I have been dreaming of a big jim bow. What kind of wood and specs are you thinking?
If you know you are headed for the dog house, I see two choices. 1. Get a really big dog that likes sleeping under the stars. 2. Get that new curvy bow in a style and weight that either the boss or someone else can pull. Then you can claim that it is to share.
Hello Guyzer, neighbour!
Longtoke, I am lucky, I have 4 longbows (hybrids) from BigJim, and they all are made of coccobolo/osage.
For this one, I asked the Big Guy to dress it up and choose the woods!
I am sure I won't be disappointed :bigsmyl:
F-Manny
Pavan, I have a very big dog :readit:
F-Manny
I can't wait to see it!
I am pumped!
I just received the phone call from Big Jim!
Dropped everything and talked bows, recurve vs hybrid...
Great times!
I gave only 2 parameters: Right handed and 60#.
Big Jim just gave me the name of one of the woods: Californian redwood burl!
There will be horn too :)
:bigsmyl:  :archer:
One month or so to go!
F-Manny
The redwood burl sounds intriguing ! :notworthy:
Dang Frenchman ! California Buckeye burl! If I could only post pictures as well as I could butcher wood.
I'm thinking that would look good with some myrtle burl...or ???? still thinking. Trust me. It will come to me. :)
BigJIm
I trust Jim will have an incredible bow for you Manny, I cant wait to see it.
Then again, I know it's a pretty tough task since you gave him a lot of parameters lol.

that's as unique as anything i've ever seen. One thing i've learned about Big Jim is he will never sell an ugly bow, and this just revalidates that point!
I can't wait to see the whole thing!
Looking pretty awesome!
Manny...
It's looking pretty beautiful!
Keep us updated and congrats!
Wow unique!
:clapper:
Thank you everybody for the kind words!
I can't wait to shoot that bow, that's for sure!
