Like the title says, I'm looking for some reasonably priced and durable black shafts. I have some GT trad blems but I like the black shafts for both looks but also functionality (I can find them much easier in our winter grass here in TX).
you could buy some GT XT shafts they are black with a green band. some guys scrape off the band.
Beeman
Beeman ICS bow hunters are good, reasonable black shafts. I've got the .340 quite a bit and I like them.
Beman bowhunters and ICS hunters great bang for the buck!!!!
You cant beat Beman bowhunters. Loved the ones ive had
GT Warriors.
Gold tips and acetone.
Black Eagle "Outlaw" from Simply Traditional is all I shoot on three of my bows. Black, cheap, and great quality.
Thom
Easton Aftermath's are a real nice inexpensive shaft.

Onions is right that's another great arrow !!
Thanks guys. Those of you suggesting the Easton Aftermath, have you also shot the Beeman Bowhunters and how would you compare the two?
Yes, I shot the Beman Bowhunters for many years. Very nice shaft, however, I feel the Aftermath is more durable.
With the bowhunters, my shaft broke on every deer I shot, (dozen plus deer). I used the Aftermath this season, killed three deer, never broke an arrow.
Also, my A&H longbow, just seems to like the Aftermath shafts better.

yep. :campfire:
Affordable and Quality are relative terms.....the longer they last the more quality and affordable they are... :campfire:
I've been shooting Arrow Dynamic Trad for 15 years exclusively for a reason. Affordable Quality.
Agreed Terry. Email sent to you.
I have a stash of the now discontinued Beman Porkchops, which are identical to Easton Aftermath arrows. Like the others said, they are very durable. I managed to bend a steel broadhead adapter without damaging the shaft.
Terry is right , get quality and they will last !
Cabelas Hunter shafts. Same thing as a Beman and about $60 a dozen.
I have the Carbon Express Predator 2 shafts. You can get them from Big Jim. Great shafts and the price is right.
We sell a bucnh of the Beman ICS Bowhunters,no complaints on them yet.
Terry
Beman Bowhunters. Yes, a little acetone will take that label right off with just a few swipes.

2X.....best bang for your buck on economy shafts. IMO
I appreciate all the feedback guys.
I use Easton Axis black shafts. Don't know if they're still making them in black. Can pick them up off the big auction site or sometimes in the classifieds here.
Just another option, get some Surewoods and stain them any color you like.
Denny
Kirk, how many animals have you killed with them? I like to here REAL hunting experiences not just basement 10 yard target shot opinions.
