Title: Big Mike's Barronett Blind
Post by: CRM_95 on January 30, 2016, 06:47:00 PM
Anybody use these? I hunt out of tree stands quite a bit here at home, but I normally make a trip to south Texas once a year and there's no trees there that will support a tree stand. I'm looking at blinds tall enough to shoot my recurve out of, and these have a center height of 80''. Just wondering if any of you actually had one or have used one and your thoughts on them.

I have only used mine a couple times now but really enjoy it. I like the layout of the windows. Plenty tall enough though I wish it had a bigger foot print when I have my daughter in with me. This is my first blind so I don't have anything to compare it to but for me it should work just fine. Hopefully kill a turkey this spring out of it.

Good blinds, used for turkey and antelope. I thought the wind antelope hunting might be a problem but it wasn't.

I have one that I use for turkey. It is a nice blind with plenty of room.

I also have the "Big Mike" blind.  It's great for using a recurve or longbow.  I also have the 350 Bloodtrail, but the window configuration is better in the "Big Mike".

If I were to buy another Barronett blind, it would be the Big Mike. Much better window configuration then the Grounder 350.

I love mine it's the "extra tough" version. I'm not sure if they make it anymore. I bought mine last turkey season and I wanted windows that could be zipped open very low.

Good deal!! I've ordered one and it should be here tomorrow. I think from everything I've heard it's going to work out well.

It's saying it should be here today!! I go to work at 4 pm, so if it gets here before then I'll set it up and post some pics. If not I'll do it tomorrow. Either way I'll keep you guys posted for sure.

I've had one for 2 turkey seasons and I would buy again.  Plenty of room / height and easy to setup.  My only complaint is the carry bag tore easily.

It made it, but after I went to work. I'll set it up tomorrow and take some pics.

Well here it is. Really easy to set up, seems well made. At least as good or maybe better than the Ameristeps I've used in the past. I didn't have anybody else here to take a pic of me in it, but I'm 6'4'' and have plenty of room to stand up in it. Won't be a problem shooting trad bows out of this at all. It's made to shoot standing up in it, but probably with compound shooters in mind. I always shoot from either my knees or a stool in a pop up so I'll have plenty of room. I'm going to leave it up a couple days and shoot out of it and let it air out some before I pack it away. Now if deer season would just hurry up...

I think Big Mike is the model, and Barronett is the brand. It's the blood trail camo pattern. I've never seen a camo pattern quite like this one so I'm curious to see what it looks like set up and brushed in.

I bought a Big Mike Blind two years ago for turkey hunting and I love it. Lots of room and I can stand up in it.
