The event will be Saturday March 5th, at Sleepy Hollow state park. Event starts at 9am, bring a dish to pass and something for the raffle table!
I will be there with bells on, count on it.
Im in, Drew is there going to be a raffle?
Great news! I was hoping this would happen!
Perfect, I will be there also my son will be there. I have a beagle also.
Drew, PM me a mailing address for a raffle item.
Just a heads up all. I recently finished a rawhide backed osage RD bow. Its 56" long and pulls 50 @ 27. It will handle 28" MAX.
I'm going to hunt the day with it to add some character marks and maybe if I'm lucky, some mojo. After the hunt I will hand it over to the winner of the raffle for it.
Bring your cash. I'd hate to see it go for $75, matter of fact I might even fight it. So don't be cheap with the kids :)

You guys best bring $$, I've seen that bow in action...it's a great little rabbit bow, that is more than enough for deer!
We'll be having hotdogs and chili for lunch as usual, so just bring a dish to pass and some drinks.
The iron bunny will be set up to test your shooting skills - or is it, your arrow building skills? :archer2:

Hey Rick, see if you can get that Doug guy you hang out with to attend! Always good to catch up with family!
I'll let him know but Doug is a Yooper now, and in the process of building a new house up there!
Glad to hear it's on again this year!! I'll do some scrounging I'm sure I can come up with some arrows for all the kids...big one too. :clapper:
Is this for the benefit of St. Judes? I want to post this on Facebook to the MLA page but want to make sure I get it right.
yes Rick, everything goes to St. Jude's like normal...I haven't had a chance to make up a flyer yet with all the info- should have that soon.
Dang it! I just realized I'll be at Wild Things that weekend!
I will pass along the info however.
YEE-freakin-HA, been waiting for this!!! :bigsmyl:
Soooo, your excited then, Mike? :)
Yep, this is a good time, great shoot, good food and good people. Can't wait to hear the beagles howl.
The site for Sleepy Hollow says a recreation passport is required. Is that a day use thing where you can pay when you pull in? I'm thinking about tying to make it over that way, only a 2 hour drive...
Correct. I think it costs $11 for the day.
Thank you, sir. Hope I can swing it, sounds like a great time.

check your tab on your license plate, you may have purchased it already..if there are two "P"s (1 top and 1 bottom) on the tab before your plate number your all set.
I definitely plan to be there. It was bunnies 2; Ron 0 at Elm Hall. Hoping to correct that.
Lets get this back to the front page. I'm hoping to make it this year.
The Wilcox/Ashley clan plan to be there! Always a great time and cause! (http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b334/AnointedArcher/Bunny%20Hunts/grouppicsofbunnyhunt.jpg) (http://s22.photobucket.com/user/AnointedArcher/media/Bunny%20Hunts/grouppicsofbunnyhunt.jpg.html)
Wow Jeff! It's been a few years since that picture was taken.
Let's hope for some white stuff before then. Its dry around here now. Lots of warm air and rain the last week.
Actually Tim, that was one of my favorite stomps!
So glad it is back. Wish we could make it, we will be at an event that weekend working :(
We did a family hike at the park yesterday to enjoy the nice weather, and the boys kicked out two rabbits! They were fired up! :archer:
Stomp is this Saturday...looks like we'll have some snow and the weather will be good!
Can we get a count of how many are coming, please!
also if you guys can give me some help setting up tables and clearing the pavilion that would be great...since I'm recovering from a broken back.
Hello Drew, its me again. I'll try to make it if I don't have to work. It's not all that far of a drive. Ha Ha
I'll be there early to give you a hand
I'll be there early to give you a hand

hope to see ya kill shot!
I will bring an extra shovel with me and the iron bunny back stop.
Oh no
Hi Drew, I plan on coming and also helping set up. What time are you setting up?

around 8ish
Bump for a good cause
:campfire: Hoping to make it over that way.
I'll be there. I have a lot going on the rest of this week and won't have time to fix a hot dish, but I plan on bringing a load of brownies. My wide brim hat to cover my hearing aids too, in case we get some rain with that snow.
Looks like I'm in. Will there be any warm up targets available? Besides the Iron Bunny. :archer2:
I can bring a bag target along if your scared of a little tin bunny :)
Haha most of my arrows are at camp, I'll have to scrounge up some "exploders".

plenty of stumps to warm up on. We stopped doing warm up targets as that many archers with all forms or blunts and judos is rough on any target.
Looks like Jacob, Andrew, Ron Peek and myself will be there
couple of targets, or bails of hay would be good just for hanging around and shooting.. myself and my two boys will be there early to help set up.. got a couple nice prizes for the raffle too!
I'll be there for awhile anyway :archer:
Good work Drew and the gang. Had a great time and ran a few bunnies around in circles, I believe our group launched 3 arrows. I didn't carry a bow, perhaps I should have. I was helping with the dogs and ended up stepping on a rabbit to make him run. Oh well, chili was great!
Glad I made the drive, had a good time even though the bunnies eluded me. Beautiful area.
Great job and a huge thanks for putting this together for the kids!

I'm looking forward to next year.
Great pics! Thanks for posting them and meeting you!
We raised $665.00!
Big thanks to every that helped, came, and donated...we over came quite a few bumps but still put on a great event and raised money for a great cause!
It was great to see every kid walk away with a prize, hang out with everyone and enjoy a nice day outside flinging arrows!
Bunny hunts are a great way to get together and have a good time. Often, even the bunnies have a good time. Good job raising that money for St Judes, a worthy cause.

Nice meeting you as well, one of the kids also kicked butt on the Iron Bunny. Myself, not so much...

Thanks every one, it was a good time for a good cause. Jeff, maybe next time you can photo shop the branch out of my face. ;)
Good event, thanks guys! I brought 3 "new to longbows" archers along and they loved it. One even missed a rabbit!
I had to leave early but I really enjoyed the time I had there. The Hot dogs and chili were excellent and the fire was warm. A big thanks to all the hard workers that made it happen :campfire:
Thanks for posting the pics Jeff. And we all did get through the brush, some of us breathing harder than others, and had a really great day. PETA will be happy to know that no rabbits were harmed in the making of the adventure :D Maybe we will do better next year?
