Title: bowfishing contacts around Brunswick, Ga?
Post by: Ryan Rothhaar on January 16, 2016, 09:35:00 PM
Hello, I'm wanting to find out if anyone is from the Brunswick area and would have Intel on saltwater bowfishing there, particularly for rays, but other species of interest too (depending on what is legal to bowfish).  Wife and I will be down a few times this year with our boat - mainly looking to get bait for fishing for big toothies, I thought a bow might be an easy way to get a few rays etc.

Thanks!

R

Thanks, RC, yeah, I see he hasn't been around here for several years - would you better contact info for him than a PM from here?

"mainly looking to get bait for fishing for big toothies"

I take it you are talking sharks?

Could never understand why one can legally fish off some state's shores with rod and reel for sharks, but here in the US, ya can't bowfish for them (that I'm aware)...

Would luv to stick a shark with an arrow. You'd get both the thrill of the bowshot plus the thrill of rod and reeling them in...
