Howdy!
My new bow has arrived, and I thought I'd snap a few quick pics for you guys and gals. I'm working on a full blown review and that will come after I have more time to do a proper video review with this bow. My initial impressions are very positive!
Here are the specs:
Black Maple "B" riser - More on that later
Number 3 limbs 45@28
Number 3 limbs 35@28 (will arrive end of January)

That's a beaut, Clark! Like your arrow too!
I love it
nice buy

Love those Bear TDs
Thanks guys!! This is my first, and won't be my last Take down! It shoots SO nice! I'll be sure to add a link to my video review when I get it done.
The folks in Gainesville are doing it right!

Awesome!!
Thank you gentleman I'm blessed to have it!
 Looks good.
Very stealthy looking. I like that alot.
SWEEEET  Cant wait to hear how it shoots :archer2:
Thanks guys!! I made a visit to my local archery center today to test a few things...here is what I found.
The measured draw weight for my limbs is 44@28 The measured draw weight at my draw length is 46.8@29.5
My hunting weight arrows weigh 406 gr. This gave me 8.8 gpp at my draw length (Easton Axis Traditionals .500)
Lightweight 3D arrows weigh 310 gr. This was a dainty 6.7 gpp at my draw length (Victory Vforce .500)
I rounded up to the next digit on the second number in gpp, and shot each arrow six times for an average. Both arrows had 4" Shield cut feathers, and were placed exactly 1" from the throat of the nock. This was to ensure draw length consistency with the feather on my nose.
I used a D97 16 strand string with 4 spider silencers, and a lower tip protector.
404 gr Easton Axis Traditional = 190 fps
310 gr Victory Vforce = 204 fps
The bow shoots extremely well and I have video of the whole testing ordeal. What shocked me is it wasn't any louder to me with the lightweight arrows! These bows are still very much relevant in today's performance standards. I've owned some of the high performance ILF limbs that cost me nearly as much as what this bow costs, and I only gained 12 fps.
This bow is awesome! Look for the whole video review soon!
Very nice. I like your grip. There must be two different guys who shape the grips. Mines much beefier.
I picked up one in December. They are really sweet shooters. My hand slides right into the grip like it was kustom made for me. Quality all the way around.
I agree Caleb! Outstanding value and quality.
Can't go wrong with the Bear TD's
So I think it's time to show some key differences in these 2015 Bear limbs. First I will compare these limbs to the limbs on my 1973 Grizzly. Then I will go on to comparing them to something more modern. Bear with me here... (no pun intended) :)
Here we have the limb profiles unstrung:
(http://i186.photobucket.com/albums/x89/selinnah/IMG_5371_zpsewhutqeo.jpg) (http://s186.photobucket.com/user/selinnah/media/IMG_5371_zpsewhutqeo.jpg.html)
Next we have the limb tip differences:
(http://i186.photobucket.com/albums/x89/selinnah/IMG_5376_zpsjqdnyvb6.jpg) (http://s186.photobucket.com/user/selinnah/media/IMG_5376_zpsjqdnyvb6.jpg.html)
Next we have the limb profile differences marked:

Now we compare these Bear limbs to one of my modern Win Win limbs from my DAS

(http://i186.photobucket.com/albums/x89/selinnah/IMG_5380_zpsdjstpii6.jpg) (http://s186.photobucket.com/user/selinnah/media/IMG_5380_zpsdjstpii6.jpg.html)
(http://i186.photobucket.com/albums/x89/selinnah/IMG_5378_zpsrnd0bscj.jpg) (http://s186.photobucket.com/user/selinnah/media/IMG_5378_zpsrnd0bscj.jpg.html)
The need to upgrade these stock Bear limbs is completely unnecessary, unless it's aesthetics you are after. The performance numbers I posted earlier back this up as well. I hope you have enjoyed this thread so far.
Jeff
Nice bow. 6.7 gpi? Enjoy it while it lasts.
I will for a very long time! Thanks!
Nice!
Maybe one day I can get one of these beauties, but for now my '66 Kodiak will have to suffice.
But the way...you're holding your bow with the wrong hand
Wrong handed? Now that explains a lot lol :)
Jeff, I have your bows little brother.....A riser!
Nice Medicare post up a pic of that thing!

I know 6.8 seems awfully low doesn't it? What amazes me is that indoors while testing, there was no noticeable difference in loudness of the bow. I will probably end up shooting wood arrows out of this bow, not because of the weight and larger gpp figure, but because woodies seem right with it.
Nice lookin' stick, Mo0se!

 Forgive my question if it's naïve, but are the Bear TDs a static tip recurve?
Now that is a beautifully crafted bow! Always thought I would prefer the rosewood colored version, but now it is a toss up! I don't know what a static tip is. Perhaps someone else will chime in that knows. Thanks for sharing.
MoOse where did you buy it from? I really like the darker almost charcoal like wood with contrasting red stripe and limb tips! Very nice  makes me take a second look at a Bear.
Tim
Thanks guys, it's not a static tip, I got it in December it's a 2015 model. The limb tips have been redone, and made smaller for better performance. I have a video of a friend of mine shooting it who is new to Traditional archery, it's just a few shots but if you folks would like to see it I can upload it and post it on this thread?

I thought I'd add this, since I was new to the TD. This is of course a "B" handle and #3 limbs which should make a 64" bow. I pre-ordered a 61" string and received it before the bow arrived. I strung it up and that's when I realized the 61" was too short. With that string basically untwisted, the brace height was 9" I ordered another string from 60X and like always shipped the very next day. Fastest service ever. I use the bcy x and this time ordered a 61.75" string. That string arrived today, and when strung, the bow braced perfectly at 7.5" the starting brace height recommendation for this model. I thought this might save some folks some time when getting a string for their TD.
I'm not sure if this applies to any TD made before 2015, but this is the magic number for this one.
