Gang, I did a search and found a few photos of Wes Wallace recurves. I have a Mentor on order and would love to see some more photos before I finalize wood choices. Love this forum........I believe this is one of my first posts. Thanks in advance.
I don't know how to post pictures. If you send me you email I can send you some pictures of mine. I bought the stealth model in green. Wes will absolutely take care of you.
I have a Mentor, macazer ebony riser, two sets of limbs myrtle and a set of yew, awesome bows, like Matt said, Wes will take the time to help you out and answer all your questions.I will pm you if I can find some pics of the bow or I will take a few more to send you.I WARN YOU,your going to like that macazer riser.
Just got my second Royal on Boxing Day, takedown with maccassar ebony riser, myrtle veneers, and yew core, antler overlays. Beautiful, and it,s a shooter! Have,nt yet seen one of his recurves that did,nt make me drool just a little..
I don't know what woods these are since I received this bow in a trade. I'm sure Wes could ID them.

Limbs appear to be maple with some curl to it but not sure.

Here are a couple pics of 'new to me' used 62" Mentor. I do not know what woods are in it.
The Mentor is on the bottom.

I like the feel and weight of it. I was able to pick it up and place the arrows as well as i can with my go to hunting bow. Same poundage, same arrows, I have a fantastic back up bow now.

It is a handsome bow that shoots well for me. Sorry I don't have better pictures to share.
I know this is a call for Mentors but I would love to see a pic or two of that takedown Royal longbow. It might help with those wood combo choices. ;)
I don't have a picture but one I previously owned had a bocote riser with bloodwood and white micarta stripes and red elm limb cores with bocote veneers. Limb tips were bloodwood and white micarta.
Pinky, I believe you picked up that Mentor II from me on the auction site. It's a great bow and shoots as good as any! I'm glad it has a good home and gets shot! They are great bows and very solid shooters.
Here is my new one. I'm hoping it will stop raining one of these days so I can go out and shoot if for a while. (http://i1319.photobucket.com/albums/t673/addictivearchery/Arrows/2B02C882-1F85-40A3-B337-31DA82FCA55B_zpslto7tfdx.jpg)[/URL]
Yes ProAlpine, My Mentor did post from Ketchum ID. I have a better string on it now and I am looking forward to flinging more arrows with it.
FJTOYMAN; that looks cool. Congratulations on your new Wallace. They sure are mighty fine shooting bows. Wes is a really great guy that puts a lot of heart into his work. The cross grain camo limbs looks great. What limb core did you go with?
Thanks Matt. Wes is a personal friend, I bugged him enough to get some camo wood in. I'm glad he did. This is his first one with the cross grain limbs.I got a bamboo core. Its an upgrade for a Stealth model.
Here is Matt Steed's riser.

Redogge; thanks for posting the picture for me. Mine is a 64 inch green partner; black glass with bamboo limb core added and checkered grip. 54#'s @ 30 inches.
I really like the 64 inch length. I was a little undecided at first about the length I should get. Wes told me that he recommended the 64 inch. He said if I didn't like it he would build me a set of 62 limbs. This was the first 64 inch recurve that I had ever shot. It is absolutely one of the nicest shooting recurves I have ever shot.
Any more Wes wallace pictures? What about some kill pictures?

I like those elk overlays.
Outstanding. Wes builds a good looking bow and a great shooting bow. I wish I would have got the antler overlay on mine now. It adds a special touch.
I have 3 mentors and 2 royals wish I could post pictures on this site but it eludes me

"Mentor" custom made, but not for me. I bought from someone who shot it less than 50 times, at almost half the price... Wanting a back-up, but can't decide which direction? Leaning towards talking to Kurt(Big Foot)

One of my Wes kills
Raghorn;! What are the specs? Nice bow and buck.
Mikewarren33; you got good penetration on that monster:) way to go.
Thanks Matt: The stick is 62" 60# @ 28" ... I am pulling it back to 29.5. My next bow will be 64-66"...
I like that stick foxbo... You ever think of putting some antler burs on the limb bolts?
Raghorn3; how for are you from Wes Wallace? I see you are from Oregon. I would have to make that trip if I lived in Oregon:)
2 hrs. There are lots of notable bowyers in Oregon, would be fun to go see them all.
Raghorn, I sold that bow five or six years ago. It was a real beaut. Osage and cocobolo. It was just a tad bit too heavy for me, or I would never have let it go.
Man! I need to pay the fee to be able to look in the classifieds, so I can catch some of these bows that people wish they would have never let go? :archer2:
Beautiful lines on these bows
