About ready to put her through her paces, but the setting sunlight on that bois d'ark was just too cool not to take a couple more pictures!

So I just took a few close shots, maybe 8 or 10 yards, to see how everything felt and to pick out an arrow. My other bows are wearing skinnier strings, and I could tell I was going to have to do a little work before I could evaluate much... Went back inside and opened up the nock on the arrow that was flying the best, then back to the range. Here's the first shot from 25 yards after I tuned the arrow nocks.

I'm not a fantastic shot, but I was putting arrows where I wanted on a pretty consistent basis all afternoon. Very pleased with how this bow turned out, and how it shoots! Its not the quietest bow I've ever shot, but very acceptable in my opinion, especially considering I haven't tuned the brace or silencers at all yet. Just an audible, but dull "thonk" on the shot. As good as any other highly r/d longbow right out of the box, that I've shot. Arrow speed looks very good to my calibrated eye. The SS Gold model has bamboo limb cores, and its super smooth at my 28" draw length. Its very light in the hand, but points great and doesn't feel the least bit unstable. The grip is perfect!!! I've owned a Griffin in the past, and this one fits as good or maybe even a little better for me. Chuck did an absolutely fantastic job building this beauty!
Exactly what I was hoping for! Thanks Ron!!!
Very nice love Osage, just wish it would stay yellow

SHREWSHOOTER
Cant beat the Ol' Super Shrew and the Osage looks great.
Still my favorite all around bow. Not too long, not too short, quick & quiet...it does it all!
I love that bow! I have an Acadian Woods Tree Stick getting ready to be crafted in about another month or so. I may change my order to all osage. It's beautiful and serious bow wood.
Very nice !
Another nicely put together hand crafted shooting stick by "Charlie Two Tracks". :saywhat:
His attention to detail is the best. Osage with character like that is awesome.
Enjoy!
I just love the look of those osage shrews but I just wish the osage itself would stay yellow like that and not darken.
I actually (typically) like the osage even more after it starts to darken. In this case however, I like it so much the way it is, I don't want anything to change. I'm afraid some of the pretty definition in the grain will get lost. I'll still love it though. I've had lots of pretty bows, but this one is pretty, it fits, and shoots great!
Curtis, Osage is like fine wine, it just gets better with age.
