Steve called me today and said my dual shelf Whisper was done and will ship on Friday. Sounds like his move has been good for him and he is working hard to catch up with the backlog. I can't wait to try this unique bow out. Dual shelf on the same side, you turn it over to change hands. I'm excited..........
Sounds interesting. look forward to your seeing your new toy.
Looking forward to seeing some pictures of it Ron. Steve is a great guy  I like my Whisper I got it back in September before he moved south. Awesome bow.
I'm looking forward to getting it, mine got delayed due to the move but it should be worth the extra wait. Steve seems to be adjusting well in the south.
Can't wait for the pics of that one!
Bisch
congrats on the new bow Ron , can't wait to see pics
Congrats on the new bow Ron.
Very interesting. That would be an equal tiller bow. I imagine the grip would be either a straight or a centered dish. It would perhaps be possible to use his shaped grip with the thumb rest, but in a symmetrical version, as well.
Sounds nice, Ron. Can't wait to see it.
I too would like to try a dual shelf bow. Having it on a Northern Mist would be doubly good!
Steve made the bow totally symmetrical, straight grip, even tiller and the center of the bow is the center of the grip. 66", Birdseye Maple riser and all Elm limbs. I wanted all native hardwoods in this bow. The Whisper is a reverse handle model.
Sounds like something special Ron, I like the all native woods thing too. Congrats!
Thanks Terry........ :notworthy:
My new Whisper came today......it's really neat. Dual shelf but on the same side, you just flip it over. Birdseye maple and Elm, should have a photo or two shortly. If it wasn't a zero wind chill outside I'd be slinging arrows right now.

Thanks Ken......... :notworthy:
Now that's pretty slick!!
Ron that is really neat. I look forward to your report!
Very unique Ron!!! I hear ya on the temps.....4 degrees here from your neighbor in Vermont!
I am curious why the dual same side shelf?
Steve said if they are on the same side he can keep things closer to center shot. One on either side you need some thickness in the middle for strength. I have a couple of dual shelf bows.....I'm trying to keep myself balanced buy shooting both sides. Plus it really has folks scratching their heads when you change sides right in the middle of a 3-D.......on some targets it pays off with a better angle.
:bigsmyl:  :archer:
Nice looking bow, Ron. That style looks like it can be cut a bit closer to center than one with a shelf on each side. I'm going to be anxious to hear your shooting impressions.
VERY COOL
I was just looking it over and I realized you can still use a bow quiver when the dual shelf is like this. Just another option with this design.
Now if you weren't such a wussie, you would go outside and loose some arows, so you could let us know how it shoots. :p
good looking bow.
Go try it out, today has fresh air & sunshine. Just like a picnic :biglaugh:
Yea-ya.......a picnic in Siberia :banghead:
WOW!!!Great looking bow Ron  I bet it shoots as good as it looks :archer2:
If you shoot with your foot like Ron LaClair did in his demonstrations, you could shoot two arrows at once!!!
Wow..that's very unique for sure, nice bow.!
Neat Bow Ron. I'm looking forward to the report. My guess is that you did not Join Terry on his picnic today :readit:
That's pretty cool Ron !!! Congrats

Really cool design. I have only seen dual shelves on same side on kids bows, never on a big boy bow. Congrats on the bow.
I have seriously wondered about a bow like that,,, I guess to keep it even tiller when flipping it for RH/LH you just draw split finger with 2 fingers and it should shoot fine?
Well it warmed to a balmy 30 degrees and no wind so out I went to test drive my new Whisper from Northern Mist. 66" 44# @ 29" dual shelf on the same side. Shot with a Black Widow 3 under cordovan tab with 600 gr. cedars 55-60 spine with 125 gr up front. First 3 shots @ 15 yards were in the kill on my 3-D target......backed up to 20 yards and 2 out of 3 were in the kill. Turned the bow over and shot 3 left handed and all were in the 8 ring. Moved back up and shot lefty again at 15......2 in the 10 and one in the 8.......I think I'll keep this one. :readit: Quiet, smooth and really pretty quick.
curious on how one tillers that bow, cool concept.
The bow is tillered even and is symmetrical.

LOL, I will believe it when I see it Ha! ;) :p
I wonder how many times Steve scratched his head making it? I still have to look twice when I string my whisper!
thats cool Ron w
I got to get out and shoot the Whisper again today, cold but no wind so I spent a bit with some cedars. The bow shoots very well and when I do my part
Ron, now that you've had a little time with it, it's time to order a new one with maybe a few minor changes - and sell me that one :D
:biglaugh: What could I change....it's perfect!!
That's really cool Ron! Good luck with that dual shelf!
How's the knee holding up? Keep posted. Thanks.
Kenny :bigsmyl:
Do you find that the nocking point settings are the same or did you need to adjust them for each hand?
I set them both the same and it seems to be working fine. I do know that I draw 29+" on the right and about 28 3/4 on the left. But when my left side gets stronger that may change.....I hope!
Pretty cool!
I am a half inch shooter on my left as well. For me it has to do with neck rotation. If I force a longer draw by shooting more square, I catch it in the neck. Does not seem to matter that much, I shot a few way out there little critters this year and a couple bigger ones shooting left handed.
Something new everyday!
Had a club meeting last night [Mohawk-Hudson Trad Archers] and I took the dual shelf for show and tell. A few guys were scratching there heads when they saw it but a ones who shot it were really surprised on how well it shot. The cool thing was that lefty's and righty's gave it a go.
That is a beauty Ron. I have never seen one like that before. Steve is a true craftsman and apparently an innovator as well! Congratulations.
Very nice, Ron!
That is awesome. I need to get one of those.
