Hey guys,
Just got a 40# bear Grizzly. After stringing it up noticed the string seemed to be off center of the limbs. After measuring the sting grooves, they are about 3/16" - 1/4" off center. The bottom limb is worse then the top, but both are obviously off center. It is odd that the off set is oppisite from bottom limb to top limb. Called Bear and emailed them a picture, but have not heard back yet. I went down to the local box store to look at a few of their Grizzly's, and they seemed to be dead center. Any one ever had something simular? Really hoping Bear makes it right.
Yeah you are owed a replacement for sure; I would not shoot it.
If that isn't a warranty issue, I don't know what is. Bear will stand behind it, or wherever you purchased the bow from.
I have tried to contact them again but no answer. From what I have read it sounds like bear has good customer service, so I'm not to concerned...yet. I am going to harass them a little tomarrow and see what happens.
Pryor, I have had the exact same problem. This seems to be a problem at Bear. Bear took care of it but as I am a lefty I had a wait for a time because they had none in stock to replace it. I will send you a PM on how to contact the person who will take care of this. Send him a picture when you contact him.
Thanks for the contact info David. If I don't get this figured out soon I will try to Get a hold of him.
I am currently working with bear on my warranty issue. They will definately make it right. If papa bear knew one thing besides bow making it was customer service. Out of curiosity where did you buy the bow and how long ago? I have a guy that's awesome at bear and if you can't get anyone let me know and I'll give you his information.
Bear Archery once again proves to have excellent costumer service, and care about making a quality product. I am shipping the bow tomorrow for a replacement. Wonderful to work with a company that stands behind their product.
That's what I knew would be the outcome of this.
