Looks like a good idea to me as you can play with different point materials and weights, the only problem I see is that it seems it would be hard getting the tips perfectly aligned,
Either way all the rocks in my area are eating up my arrows, I will have to give this a try.

				looks like a great idea to try out.  Thanks for sharing.  I think cutting those nails just a tad shorter will keep them even more protected ( maybe not).  More experimenting !  Looks like maybe a nice skwerl head in the making.

				That idea works great for some. 
A friend of mine uses nylon reinforced tubing over the end of his arrow, and puts a field point or judo point in the end. 
I have seen him hit all manner of hard things, and he never breaks an arrow. 
The only draw back is the big 'blob' on the end of the arrow; but hey, it works for him.
