Title: Cool idea for cheap stumping points
Post by: Longtoke on January 07, 2016, 10:52:00 PM
Not sure if this has been shared before, but i just found this video.

Looks like a good idea to me as you can play with different point materials and weights, the only problem I see is that it seems it would be hard getting the tips perfectly aligned,

Either way all the rocks in my area are eating up my arrows, I will have to give this a try.

looks like a great idea to try out.  Thanks for sharing.  I think cutting those nails just a tad shorter will keep them even more protected ( maybe not).  More experimenting !  Looks like maybe a nice skwerl head in the making.

That idea works great for some.
A friend of mine uses nylon reinforced tubing over the end of his arrow, and puts a field point or judo point in the end.
I have seen him hit all manner of hard things, and he never breaks an arrow.
The only draw back is the big 'blob' on the end of the arrow; but hey, it works for him.
