Hey Gang,
Here's my updated video on how I prefer to build a custom, two bundle flemish string with padded loops. It's still not exactly how I wanted it to be, but I think it's better than my other one. Hoping it can help those aspiring to build their own strings. HD is available for the video.

You guys are welcome and thank you for the additional kind words.

Thanks for taking the time to show everyone how you make your strings in a well edited video. I've been making my own strings for a few years, and learned a few ways to make them better. Very generous gift of your time.
Thank you for the kind words Chase. It's tough trying to film these things on your own and get them "right". From filming to editing, this one took me over 8 hrs. :banghead: LOL! If I feel ambitious in the future, I may try one more time.
Thank you for taking the time to view the video.
Aloha!
As always...
Thanks for sharing the information on UTube that this video provided. I have a string board that I bought back in 2001 and All the materials that I need to make a string so I am going to give it a try. I am very nervous about doing it but hopefully I will succeed or I will try again.
Mahalo Bud!
Thomas, best of luck with the string building!
Cannot wait to watch this later.... Always wanted to build my own.
Excellent video. It's very clear. Thank you!!
Great, thank you very much. Looking forward to seeing your instructions on string knock tie on and your silencers.
Thank you for the kind words. The other videos will be up shortly.
Aloha!
Thanks Ryan, some more great videos. What material did you pad with?
Thank you Ben. I use the same material to pad. So if I decide to build with 8125, I'll use the same 8125 in the pads.
As always, great job Ryan. Your timing is good also, I need to re-serve a couple of my favorite strings. Thanks!

Thank you sir. I almost did not watch your new videos because I was scared I may change something in the way I make strings. As you may remember, the last string making video got me going with my string making and I have never looked back.
It is very kind of you to share your time and knowledge with us. WE all appreciate, and THANKS again!!!
Your welcome Kevin. Hope all goes well with the serving.
Ben, as you probably noticed, it's basically the same thing. I just wanted to try to do a better job the second time around. I appreciate the kind words!
Ryan
Good job brah!
Mahalo Hiro! :shaka:

Ryan, I would, but don't have the capacity or computer to do!
Ryan, thanks for taking the time to post these videos. I had made a string board and had some string for close to 2 years. But, after buying DVDs and watching videos I decided not to bother as it looked to complicated.
Well, after seeing your videos I got my stuff together and gave it a try, first one looked good but came out too short. I made some adjustments and the second one was right. Now I have to serve it and the on mocks.
Thanks again.
Thank you for your comment Mike! I'm glad that it helped you to build your own strings. This is my updated video and I was hoping that I did a better job at explaining this time around. These videos are not easy to put together and definitely frustrating at times, but hearing back from guys like yourself makes it all worth it in the end!
Aloha! :shaka:
