I met a real nice guy through my buddy wingnut named rusty well long story we helped him move and he saw fit to give me a wonderful osage stave with nice thick rings even a wood idiot could see and follow that thing sat at wingnuts for about six months with me trying to muster up the gumshin to try it with some quick teaching from mike and jason i learned how to chase a ring this weekend at work i gave it a shot by myself (might not be safe )and it worked i didnt gouge any or cut off to many knot. so im on to the next step but i really have to say thank you to rusty mike and jason for getting me started on my newest addiction

then jason hits me with a riser blank and reminds me to walk before i crawl or something like that but i learn well while im dodging

Jason,
Sent the pics to me or bring your camera over and we can down load the chip. It's easy to post pics once you get the hang of it.

John that is funny.
Jason, You are fortunate to have skilled mentors to help you get started. Creating functional bows from a chunk of wood is special.

Ill try to work on casing and spellins ifin it will make me build bows like these guys. And tomorrow ill get to mikes for picture day ,but i got the itch bad im even thinking of going out and cutting down a freaking tree just to see some rings .

And so it starts, a few shavings at first, then later you're coveting your neighbors trees. ;)
Have fun with your new addiction bud, there's no cure (And I hope there never is).
