Got my first recurve deer! Man was it exciting. 7 pointer shot with a Herters Perfection Sitka. Thanks to TANJ for the guidance on the journey. (Traditional Archers of New Jersey)

Short story, rest wil lbe in UBNJ magazine and will send to TANJ too.

4:00 a bunch of does run past me and are looking back. See an 8 pointer chasing a doe, he actually mounts her! She runs under my stand. He comes in at 18 yards. I pull back, zip it 1" over his back, ugh.

15 minutes later same doe comes back with this 7 pointer in tow. 7 pointer is standing directly over my first arrow, I pull back and connect  :)

Looks like a fine buck. In late season too!
It's a lot tougher out there when there isn't any leaves on the trees.
